Taking aim at the way news is spread across the Internet, The Associated Press said on Monday that it will demand that Web sites obtain permission to use the work of The A.P. or its member newspapers, and share revenue with the news organizations, and that it will take legal action those that do not.

They went after FR quite a while ago. As a result, posting AP articles isn’t permitted.
Actually, this violates the “fair use” laws, but I don’t blame Jim Robinson for not wanting to get involved with more lawsuits.
But if they start suing regular news organizations over fair use, they may find that can be expensive for them.
They can have an 80% share of the advertising revenue generated by this post.
