Palins Get Ready to Spill By Kim Eisler Published Monday, April 06, 2009

Alaska’s Republican governor, Sarah Palin, has retained DC Democratic power player Robert Barnett to sell her presumed memoir of the 2008 campaign. The expected seven-figure book advance will make it easier for Palin to pay for travel to the “lower 48” for political events and then a presidential run.

The book could put Palin into a 2012 race with President Obama, who used the same lawyer and the same strategy—a big advance and a book—in part to back his early campaign efforts.

During the 2008 Democratic campaign, Barnett represented Obama, Hillary Rodham Clinton, and John Edwards, and 2012 could turn into another Barnett-vs.-Barnett race.

The Palin account could turn out to be very lucrative for Barnett. In addition to the advance he’s expected to get for the Alaska governor, Barnett also may try to sell a book for her daughter, Bristol Palin, who recently gave an interview to Fox News host Greta Van Susteren about the burdens of teen pregnancy.

A political-daughter book wouldn’t be a first for Barnett; he convinced publishers to give Mary Cheney a sizable advance for a book about her life in Republican politics as a lesbian, and he sold Jenna Bush’s young-adult book. He also once sold a compilation of letters to Socks and Buddy, the Clintons’ late pets.

I hope it’s true. I’ll buy 10 copies LOL..I’ve heard these BS rumors about her writing a book before, but I hope that she does because she has a lot to say. About Bristol supposedly writing a book, I think she should too, it’s her right to do so, if she wants to I say go for it. I can’t wait to read what Sarah has to say

Good for her. And since she’s doing exactly what Obama did, and even using the same lawyer to handle it, the MSM may find it hard to to attack her for being money-mad or whatever.

The governor of Alaska makes roughly $125,000 per year, which considering the high-cost of living in Alaska, is quite modest compared to most other govenors. The Rat-controlled legislature tried to set her up by giving her a big pay increase, but she refused to take it, seeing it as a future campaign issue with which they could beat her over the head. She's also rejected most other perks, including a state-supplied vehicle, and drives her own Jetta back and forth to work between Wasilla and Anchorage.

She currently has over $500,000 in legal bills from Troopergate and ongoing lib-orchestrated ankle-biter ethic complaints, so I guess she figured that this is one way to get things paid off and set up her finances for future political activities, just like Obama did.

Sure he had a job, otherwise how did he pay Bill Ayers to write it for him?

Gov. Palin needs to start assemblying an email list as Obama has done. In my opinion, that is the reason for his door to door campaign. His emails gained him a lot of donations along the way.

It is foolish to let Democrats run your campaign. McCain’s foolish folly was to believe that the Democrats on his staff were going to work as hard to get him elected as they did to secure him the GOP nomination.

I’m a big fan of SP.

However, she let the MSM and the rest of the Leftist clowns define her during the last election. Part of it was likely due to the McCain campaign.

There isn’t much time. She needs a public makeover on her terms, and that’s going to cost money and time. IMHO, she has a lot to offer and she is an amazing woman who could do a great deal to articulate the conservative message.

I think she can do it. I hope she does it. Unfortunately, she didn’t do the greatest job last time around.

A good place to start would be a few sessions on Fox News Sunday, IMHO. Maybe a few interviews with Rush, Bill Bennet, Mark Steyn, et al.

Big mistake IMO, unless she gets an exclusive contract with this democrat that stresses that he can not work for any other cantidate.

What a perfect opportunity for Barnett to get someone from his party in.

Isn't there any Conservative people that can do as good of a job as this democrat?
