Agreed. As impossible as it may seem to the reasonable thinking mind, Lenin, Stalin, Mao, Castro, Pol Pot, Hitler, etc., etc., all had their supporters; people who were willing to follow their dear leader through the gates of hell, and the horrible suffering that followed their version of "right" came under the banner of "Gee, that's too bad." And that has been my fear from before the first primary: that this guy actually believes he can achieve the unachievable: fairness...
People who get sold on collectivism (usually those who think they’ve been shorted somehow in a competitive society) are convinced, or convinced by those in power,
that there is an ultimate solution at the end of all the hardship,
so they’re willing to suffer, and/or allow oppression and genocide,
because of the promise of that ultimate utopia at the end of it all.
