Something this week made me think of Raspail's
Camp of the Saints. And I seem to recall sometime ago your seeking suggestions for a follow-on book. CotS is similar in some ways to AS, particularly in the "bad guys" it portrays. It might be interesting to compare some of the characters. I would note that on the page I linked Amazon, under the heading "Customers Who Bought This Item Also Bought," lists AS first.
