Yes, they are covering it up, it seems. I just read on another thread the Taliban has claimed responsibility for yesterday's shooting, and there may have been a second gunman. Also, there are reports the dead gunman's name is an alias, and he really didn't work for IBM?

OK, the Taliban in Pakistan did claim responsibility for the NY shooting, but only Reuters is taking it seriously.
The guy did change his name slightly, to Wong, a more Chinese sounding name, but I’m pretty sure he did work at IBM.
The man was distraught over losing his job and complaining about being taunted for not being able to speak English, despite having been in the country for 10 years. (He must have been working as a janitor at IBM)
