The U.S. Department of Justice initiated formal proceedings this week to have a former Nazi guard living in Mercer County removed from the country.
Anton Geiser, 84, of Sharon, came to the Untied States in 1956. But in 2004, the federal government filed a complaint against him alleging he was not entitled to citizenship because he had "personally assisted the Nazi government in persecuting persons because of race, religion or national origin."
Mr. Geiser, who the prosecution said served as an armed SS Death's Head guard at the Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp near Berlin, Germany, during most of 1943, fought the complaint. But a U.S. District Court judge found against him. Last year, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals affirmed that decision.

If this guy lied on his paperwork, and did what he was accused of, then he has no leg to stand on.
At the same time, however, I am amazed at how much time, money and effort we put into tossing out people who apparently never harmed Americans (60 years ago or since) while we can’t seem to more effectively round up illegals who are harming Americans NOW.

"But the spell-checker said it was OK, boss!"
If he’s 84 years old, then he was born about 1924-25. Which means he was at most only 21 years old when the war ended. I thought the “Final Solution” of the concentration camps and gasing of the Jews and other “undermenschen” began in about 1941-42.
Realistically, this man was still a boy. How can they be certain that this is even that boy?
I am not trying to excuse him if he was guilty, but I do question how they can be certain after all these years.
On that basis, most people from Saudi Arabia or other Muslim countries must also be excluded.
If only we were untied.
By 1943 the SS was pretty much conscripting members thanks to defeats on both fronts. So this guy kid was prolly only, a stinking 'Recruit' (Anwärter), leave him fricking alone and stop wasting tax money on alleged Camp Guards. All the SS Bad Guys are LONG DEAD! And when you're down to hunting SS 'Recruits', that's stretching it. Get over it.
(Hey, How about going after some Jap War Criminals, FBI? Ooops, can't. Then no more Toyotas for us.)
