A Pakistani Taliban militant leader has claimed responsibility for the attack on a U.S. immigration center in New York state in which 13 people were killed, Reuters reported.

I would not be surprised to hear that family members suddenly had an increase in the bank accounts recently.
AQ has used the tactic of recruiting certain types of individuals to perform certain acts with promised rewards such as monies to family members.
Its easy to recruit by the internet for AQ, just lurk awhile and start asking around, find persons that are prime candidates, turn the individual into a weapon.
Its no wonder Obama wants to pull the plug on the internet.
Vigilance starts here folks, the enemy could very well be right HERE.
It lurks. Be strong, be vigilant. Its a warzone now.
But that info is not 'politically correct.' And because Obama wants to embrace the Taliban, the media are not going to investigate this issue.
I feel better already . . . LOL, LOL
Interesting. If the guy was a convert, the media will never say.
A very direct route.
One technique used by terrorist groups is to
1) claim they are responsible for an act when they really aren’t and
2) a group that is responsible will claim membership in a terrorist group, even though they have never had any previous contact with said group
Both give an appearance of terrorist groups being wide spread and well organized when, in fact, they may be neither
Do I know for sure about yesterday’s attack - No!! But if seems really unlikely that a vietnamese IBM ex-employee is connected to Pakistani terrorist.
Strange to me that the only identified weapons were a .45, 9mm and a “hunting” knife. The rifle description has yet to be released, maybe some good FReeper can set me straight on this. My guess is that it was NOT an evil “black rifle with a pistol grip (gasp!)”.
If it turns out that it was a bolt action “deer rifle” my question is still why doesn’t anyone rush these idiots??!! It’s mindset and we have been successfully programmed to not resist, do whatever the perp commands, be obedient. Not making light here at all, just very frustrated.
Yet, we do have outstanding examples of ordinary citizens taking action against violent criminals, the first section of American Rifleman I alway read is the armed citizen section. I’m always humbled and amazed at how quick thinking they elder citizens are, many in their 80s and some in their 90s, now THOSE are good examples!
We keep hearing about a “satchel” full of ammunition around the perp’s neck, but I’ve yet to read anything about a gun found in his hand, which is the inevitable result of a suicide.
And why were the police so guarded yesterday in their comments, saying only that they had “good reason” to believe he was the gunman, but could not guarantee it 100% (those comments were from the press conference yesterday, I recall).
His sister apparently believes he was not the gunman, but was shot to death.
I’d like to know what was on those three computers removed from his residence.
It didn't seem very likely that a teen from Marin County California would be picked up on a battlefield in Afghanistan either. Or that a Puerto Rican from Chicago planned to set off a dirty bomb. There are plenty of Muslim converts in this country.
Could be. See http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1994613/posts.
There evidently are a lot of them in the area and the perp may have gotten connection to them somehow.
