When hundreds of protesters showed up at the South Carolina statehouse to protest Gov. Mark Sanford's refusal to accept $700 million in federal stimulus, it was worth noting how Sanford doesn't represent economic disaster - but perhaps the only chance we've got.

Mark Sanford is the real deal. Either stand strong for conservatism or give up and work with Obama towards a better Socialism.

Sanford painted himself into a corner. He accepted the obuma stimulus bribe.
Fine. What he next needs to do is take the money, flip obuma off and tell the ghetto pig that this money is just a down payment for all the dollars the federal fascists have stolen from the state.
I ain’t holding my breath.
We’re on our own. May each shot ring the bell.

Mark Sanford is the real deal. Either stand strong for conservatism or give up and work with Obama towards a better Socialism. Are you serious rabs??? I really don't know enough about Gov. Sanford to determine whether or not he is a strong defender of the Constitution that Rep. Ron Paul is, but considering the fact that he has been given compliments by several so-called "conservatives" gives me pause. Sure, he may sound good on a few issues, but w/ me it's the CONSTITUTION -- & protecting it from all enemies, foreign & domestic -- that matter to me. I hope to learn more about him as time goes on & my mind is still open.

Is it really that hard to look at his voting record while he was in congress?
He's a stronger constitutionalists than Paul, because Paul voted for unconstitutional budget resolutions - Sanford did not.

Palin and Jindal both have my vote ahead of him, but I’m glad state sovereignty and federalism is reviving in reaction to Obama.

Plus, you’ll never get Ron Paul elected, ever, end of story. Politics doesn’t work the way some conservatives think. It is a duck and cover game where standing on principles gets you zero.
Our goal is to move the ball down the court. Looking for the perfect candidate is naive and immature - dare I say liberal?
