Make his family pay. Ban any relations living overseas from ever entering the country. Punish any family in the USA. That’s the only way to protect gun rights and slow this crap down. You have to realize you are condemning your family as well. Then the family will take a more active role in policing it’s misfits. What’s going to happen is a police state unless something drastic is done.

EXCUSE ME??? PUNISH HIS FAMILY MEMBERS??? SERIOUSLY? And, you’re worried about a POLICE STATE? Yeah, that would go a LONG WAY to prevent one, now wouldn’t it? Forget the fact that this was a U.S. Citizen that has been here for 28 years!
I’m just as “anti-Illegal” as probably some of the most vocal here, but what you are suggesting will NOT stop this problem! Again, this guy was a U.S. CITIZEN — and so presumably are many of his family members you want to now punish for this guy going mental...
If you end up killing someone someday for some crazy reason, do you want YOUR FAMILY to be jailed because of it? Because THAT is what you just suggested...
Sorry, individual rights are about as basic a tenet as our country has. Nobody should be punished for who-knows-why some relative has done who-knows-what.
