[history]
the World's Greatest Orator (all news organisations), didn't exactly cover himself in glory when the BBC's political editor Nick Robinson asked him a question about who was to blame for the financial crisis. Normally word perfect, Obama ummed, ahed and waffled for the best part of two and a half minutes. Here, John Crace decodes what he was really thinking ...

I find that I cannot listen to the man, on or off of the teleprompter. The irregular cadence of his speech pattern drives me up the wall. I have heard him referred to as hypnotic but not to me.
Glad to hear that comment. I feel exactly the same way. I can't listen to the way he speaks, I don't even like to look at him. Trying to listen to him is worse than fingernails on a blackboard. I ALWAYS turn to a different station when he comes on.
