Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder: Militia report warrants a complete investigation (Rush weighs in, too)
The Southeast Missourian ^ | April 3, 2009 | Lieutenant Governor Peter D. Kinder (R-MO)

Posted on 04/02/2009 11:49:57 PM PDT by 2ndDivisionVet

On March 20, reporters broke the astonishing news that a report from the Missouri Department of Public Safety was distributed to law enforcement agencies across our state that depicted Christians, anti-abortionists, advocates for protecting our borders and supporters of certain political candidates as potential "threats" to public safety.

The report was developed by the Missouri Information Analysis Center and was titled "The Modern Militia Movement." By title alone, the imagination conjures up images of commando renegades on remote outposts in secluded mountainous terrain.

However, while this "Modern Militia" report did touch on such radical ideologies, the groups purported to be "threats" were supporters of such political candidates as Bob Barr and Ron Paul. There are certainly individual extremists in many religious and political groups (both conservative and liberal), but Gov. Jay Nixon and director of public safety John Britt have created a dangerous precedent of profiling lawful citizens as threats to public safety simply based on their political or religious beliefs.

On Tuesday, Nixon and Britt said they stood by the content of the report, while both said they hadn't read it. Then, on Wednesday, Col. Jim Keathley of the Missouri State Highway Patrol issued a statement saying the review process for future MIAC memos would be changed. Shame on Governor Nixon and Britt for making a noble public servant and iconic law enforcement leader like my friend Colonel Keathley take the fall for their bureaucratic and political failures.

Keathley, the men and women of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and law enforcement officials across this state put their lives on the line each and every day to keep our communities safe. We should honor these everyday heroes for their sacrifices and never allow them to be used in a political ploy.

By Thursday, as conservatives across this state made their voices heard, Nixon decided to pass the blame to the previous administration. This is unacceptable. I am calling for Governor Nixon to place Britt on administrative leave pending a full investigation and accounting of acts of profiling under his supervision at MIAC.

All Missourians should rest assured that we are protected by the freedoms of our constitution and should never have to fear being monitored by their government based upon a person's race, place of birth, political beliefs or their spiritual convictions. Unfortunately, that confidence was shaken by the governor. Nixon remains ultimately responsible for his administration. Nixon should fully answer and apologize for what has been allowed to occur on his watch.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rush Limbaugh gave brief remarks concerning Missouri and this report:

"Remember we told you not long ago that the state of Missouri had told the highway patrol that if you see a bumper sticker for a third-party political movement it's obviously a militia group and you gotta be worried, like anybody for Ron Paul or anybody for pro-life, or anybody NRA, and it caused an uproar, so the Missouri Highway Patrol this week retracted a controversial report on militia activity and will change how such reports are reviewed before being distributed to law enforcement agencies. The highway patrol also will open an investigation into the origin of the report, which linked conservative groups with domestic terrorism and named former presidential candidates Ron Paul, Bob Barr and Chuck Baldwin as dangerous reactionaries. The highway patrol's announcement followed a news conference in which Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder, a Republican, suggested putting the director of public safety on administrative leave and investigating how the report was produced. So the fur flew out there over this, and they've rescinded it."

Ron Paul or “Don’t Tead on Me” stickers = Bad

Gulf Cartel, Zetas or Mexican Mafia = Good

Muslim terror camps within US territory = Good

ACORN, La Raza, Soros, Sharpton = Good

Rush, Savage, Levin, Hannity = Bad

UN = Good

USA = Bad

At some point, boys and girls, this is going to come to a head and you will have to decide to live in Stalin/Mao “Dopey-Changey” Affirmative Action Land of Bwany Fwank and Nancy Pelosi...

Or fight, possibly, to you end.

I hate to be apocalyptic, but PM Gordon reiterated the NWO and Obama bowed to the head of the Arabs... this is no accident..we act polite as our land is overrun by illegals and crime...

Time for politeness to end and we end this tyranny.

Your list is why me and mine are stocking up on guns and ammo. It’s our Constitutional duty...and Missouri, of all places, should know that.

Buying two new boxes of ammo every week...

Wife and I have seeds, 2 months of food, and seeds, gold...etc.

I watched a obese woman smack her toddler today while screaming into a pink cell phone...all while trying to pull out food stamps in the line at Safeway today.

I thought...what have we become? Why do we fund this program that really doesn’t help, it just allows more unchecked breeding an just enough subsistance to allow people to eat, be housed and get knocked up again, sans Daddy...

I have a new theory...LBJ’s War on Poverty was just to de-claw people’s natural survival instincts and make it economically advantageous to not have married couples raising children...and when the get to school, Mao/Marx/Keynes begins the slow brain drain to submission...

Look at the Media, look at the ObamaZombies, obsessed with his looks and wife’s arms...

Lock and load dude, it is coming, I can feel it like the way you can smell that strange dry, errie feeling of when rain is coming. That weird breeze, that rustle of the leaves and branches, the coolness that interrupts a sunny afternoon...the light fading...the darkness moving in...the small drops...the bigger drops...the nearly grey-black clouds...the crack of thunder and a flash of blinding light of the lightning...the downpour....

You know the feeling.

Be ready.

Rules for the Non-Military.
Make sure you read #13!

Dear Civilians, We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation has many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military. For those of you who can’t join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas where we would like your assistance:

;
1. The next time you see any adults talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem - kick their ass.

2. When you witness, firsthand, someone burning the American Flag in protest - kick their ass.

3. Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a disabled veteran kicks their ass.

4. (GUYS) If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDUs) or Jungle Fatigues, telling others that you used to be ‘Special Forces, Collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay when you were seven years old. Now, it will only make you look stupid and get your ass kicked.

5. Next time you come across an *Air Force* member, do not ask them, ‘Do you fly a jet? Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an ass-kicking.(children are exempt).

6. If you witness someone calling the *US Coast Guard* ‘non-military’, Inform them of their mistake - and kick their ass.

7. Next time Old Glory (the US flag) prances by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart, or if you are military or retired military you may now salute the flag when not in uniform. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her - of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe ass-kicking.

8. Don’t try to discuss politics with a military member or a veteran. We are Americans, and we all bleed the same, regardless of our party affiliation. Our Chain of Command is to include our Commander-In-Chief(CinC). The President (for those who didn’t know) is our CinC Regardless of political party. We have no inside track on what happens inside those big important buildings where all those representatives meet All we know is that when those civilian representatives screw up the situation, they call upon the military to go straighten it out. If you keep asking us the same stupid questions repeatedly, you will get your ass kicked.

9. ‘Your mama wears combat boots’ never made sense to me - stop saying It! If she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore could kick your ass!

10. Bin Laden and the Taliban are not Communists, so stop saying ‘Let’s go kill those Commies!’ And stop asking us where he is! Crystal balls are not standard issue in the military. That reminds me- if you see anyone calling those damn psychic phone numbers, let me know, so I can go kick their ass!

11. ‘Flyboy’ (*Air Force*), ‘Jarhead’ (*Marines*), ‘Grunt’ (*Army*), ‘Squid’ (*Navy*), ‘Puddle Jumpers’ (*Coast Guard*), etc., are terms of endearment vets use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. Using them could get your ass kicked.

12. Last, but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military, support our troops and their families. Every Thanksgiving and religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of soldiers, sailors, marines and airmen far from home wishing they could be with their families...... Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our country would get it’s ass kicked..’

It’s the Veteran, not the reporter, who has given us the freedom of the press.
It’s the Veteran, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
‘It’s the Veteran, not the community organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate.’
It’s the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.

AND ONE MORE::

13. If you ever see anyone either standing for or singing the national anthem in Spanish- KICK THEIR ASS !!

ONE LAST THING:

If you got this email and didn’t pass it on - guess what -you deserve to get your ass kicked!!!!
I sent this to you, because I didn’t want to get my ass kicked.
AMEN

Every government official in this country, local, state or especially federal, should be afraid of the citizenry.

The time is approaching. We have been pushed enough.

Some more best step up.... Mark Levin’s book is excellent and I for one understand the time has come for the Conservatives to become “POLITICALLY ACTIVE” - loud, strong, and demanding.

Reminds me of the Missouri “truth squad” set up by the Obama campaign. What is it with Missouri Democrats and the First Amendment?

And, they should be more and more fearful as they push deeper and deeper into the cesspool of socialism.

It’s time to take back the country.

“..suggested putting the director of public safety on administrative leave and investigating how the report was produced.”

It would have been nice if it were done and some light were shed on those left-leaning termites looking to create their own gestapo.

IMHO

It’s time to take back the country.

After listening to Hannity's man-in-the-street interviews yesterday, I have to wonder whether it's worth the trouble to "take back the country." Because after you take it back, you have to pass it on...to a generation of morons who believe that health care and education are natural rights and the govt is here to provide them to all.

Our people are becoming unthinking Marxists. And where did that happen?

If you really want to take back the country, take your children out of public schools.

They -- your children -- are America. If it isn't in their hearts and minds, it's already gone, beyond retaking.
