It substantially reduces the material cost of powderless vinyl examination gloves, a widely used medical disposable. So, maybe, maybe not. The company I was working for at the time has since gone bust. I don't know who owns the nominal rights, if anybody. They were bought by Lightyear Capital, but I don't know any more than that.
Given that I signed an agreement to sell it for a buck, wouldn't that be the limit of what I could recover?
