Exactly. How could a Republican politician be in favor of anything amnesty-related? There would simply be zero chance of ever winning an election for decades if all these freeloading, useless, commie Mexicans are allowed citizenry and the ability to vote. When does our side jettison our soft approach with this stuff and get aggressive?

This is the kind of knee-jerk rush to judgement that creates so much trouble for us as a party.

The article said he favored some sort of reform of the immigration system. That doesn't necessarily mean amnesty. Even the biggest restrictionist of them all agrees there ought to be reform. A reform can mean better enforcment and fewer legal immigrants admited.

The article doesn't tell us what , and there's nothing in it to indicate he favors amnesty. How can you be so sure he favors it if you haven't even read his own words?

Don’t worry. When the Messiah pushes for Amnesty this summer, Romney will start sounding like Tancredo.
