A Japanese rebroadcast tonight of North Korea TV. HERE is a link to Japanese site from Japanese TV which has short streaming video.

Go there first, then hit the arrow in the little orange box, just below the screen shot photo of the rabid North Korean TV female announcer spitting forth the threat.

This doll really gets into it at 00:33 into the clip, threatening to rain down a thunderbolt of fire on Japan if they for any reason dare shoot down the North's "peaceful" satellite, scheduled for launch across Japan shortly.

Korean Central TV, Pyongyang, in a "special announcement".

[This online Japanese clip will probably be accessible for only another 12 hours or so, then as is usually the case, the link will become defunct].

So catch it while you can. Posted 8:10 a.m. Eastern Time/5:10 a.m. Pacific, Thursday.

The face of North Korea, Freepers.

So what’s the history behind NK animosity towards Japan?

I can’t think of any reason for them to lob a missle thataway...

It is OK. Obama will sweet talk them with his Charisma. Who does not get chills down their legs when Obama speaks?

When your people are dirt poor and you are swindling all their wealth to prop yourself in power, you have to create an enemy.

Oh by all means, don't forget to include the 38,000 of your fellow Americans in the US military here as well, that are included in this latest threat. ;-)

Go back and read what the Japanese military did to the countries of the Pacific in the late 1930’s

China, Korea, Thailand, Burma

Try reading about the Japanese invasions and the rape of Nanking in 1938 among other actions

Remember China always has pulled a lot of Chia Pet’s puppet strings

We beat that Japan, and hung their leaders.

I guess North Korean nukes will only sort out and kill Japanese, and not any foreigners here including US military.

Japan occupied all of Korea for most of the 20th century prior to the end of WW II. They were not exactly gentle overlords. Read up about "comfort women" to get some idea. South Korea hasn't forgotten either but prosperity helps one focus on the future. The north's preserved-in-amber hostility and glorification of the past is all they have under their current regime.

No, in a strange twist of fate, Godzilla has made an agreement with Japanese officials to secretly take a big dump on Pongyang after shooting down the rocket himself...

Some new energy drink company, based in Japan, has agreed to sponsor his trip to North Korea...

Somehow, the image of this announcer chick in leather and whips might actually excite certain people...

Not me of course, but there ARE some who might find her...well...uhhhh...

...nevermind...

Your welcome.

North Korea's strategy is to drive wedges between Seoul, Tokyo and Washington at this critical point, during this contrived crisis. So far, the three aren't buying it.

It is interesting to watch even some Freepers fall into such a foolish trap and obsess on the vanquished and punished enemy of 64 years ago (leaders hung, US constitution introduced, country remolded and rehabilitated into a democracy), rather than the serious, very serious communist enemy at hand.

Thanks again for your feedback.

ah, you presume the Chinese and other countries that were brutalized by a historic and extraordinarily ruthless rival just agreed to smile and let bygones be bygones

You haven’t been over there (I’ve been to Korea Philippines, Thailand, Guam, Okinawa) and witnessed the contempt (or worse) the common people still have for the Japanese, except taking their money....with a big “smile” and a “cool heart” of course

Why do you think there has been such “regional sensitivity” about letting Japan rearm and again become a major military player... since the end of WW2 we have always been Japan’s military shield but those days are rapidly ending
