Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, Ferragamo.
These were just a few of the designer labels Sarah Palin wore during her 2008 campaign.
Where are many of these infamous clothes now? In trash bags!
Yes, you read that right. In the g-a-r-b-a-g-e. Well, in garbage bags, to be more specific.
NewMajority is reporting that roughly $150,000 worth of clothing worn by Sarah Palin during her Republican vice presidential bid is stuffed in trash bags at the Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington D.C.
Palin promised to donate her wardrobe to charity following the campaign, and she did give the clothes to the RNC so they could handle the donation process, according to NewMajority. But apparently, the RNC did no such thing, as the clothes are still in their headquarters in garbage bags.
A spokesperson for the RNC spokesman told NewMajority that the clothes that Palin gave back had been "inventoried and will be appropriately dispersed to various charities."
The inevitable question: Why does it take months to donate clothes to charity
.
I need a duplicate driver’s license, it takes a state agency 7-10 working days to process a form that will cost me $22.
Statists exist because of bureaucracy.
Oh the horror.
David Frum’s website breaks news now?
The Demrats just work overtime to try and smear Palin....who cares about her wardrobe when Obama is giving away millions, billions in bonuses to AIG, raising taxes to pay for those that don’t work, giving 2 billion plus to ACORN to secure Dem votes........and we care about Palins clothes.....”they” are pathetic!
RNC.
LOL.
The inevitable question: Why does it take months to donate clothes to charity
Uh, probably because the RNC wants to wait to write it off on federal taxes? (fricking dumb @sses at Daily News)
Sarah did exactly what she said she would; donate the clothes back at the end of the campaign. She gives them to a third party to facilitate the donation so that she doesn't even get credit for them.
And the media is harping on this, why? Because they are still sitting in trash bags waiting to be inventoried?
Hell, if this was the DNC, they would be on workers' backs, not waiting to be inventoried and then donated!
Remember the "Count The Silverware" party?
More precisely, the RINO National Committee.
Simple, because not all of the people trying to discredit Palin have a "D" beside their party registration. Lots of them have an "R", and they're in positions of power in the party.
Oscar de la Renta in garbage bags?
I’ve packed up clothing in large garbage bags when moving. Sure, you can pay $10 for some expensive cardboard box, but a Hefty bag works quite nicely. And the clothes are completely sealed in and protected from dust.
As a donor who presumably helped pay for those clothes, I really don’t care what they do with them. I’m sure there are excess buttons, letterhead, etc. The clothes, in my opinion, fall into the same category.
Donating them to "Charity" could have many meanings. One, for example, would be to donate outfits to be auctioned off for SGK breast cancer funding. Another would be a "raffle".

This is the michael steele party... corrupt and dumber than dirt! Palin had NOTHNG to do with this... but mr steele is running the show 100%!
LLS
As someone who donated cash to the RNC because of Sarah Palin, I would have preferred if she and her family kept the clothes.
She looked good in them!
The rinos belong in the garbage bags.
Some shocking news:
1)The RNC has become incompetent
2)The media are childish hyenas, giddy about using Palin and trash in the same sentence.
There is nothing new under the sun.
BTW this story is old...
thanks Mr Steele.
you have done a wonderful job so far-
signed, Barak Obama
