Do we think this means anything? Or will the people running this scam simply blame something else for rising energy prices and just go ahead with it?

Now that's a poison pill, although I thought charcoal was good for digestion.

Who in the Republican Party will stand up and call "Cap and Trade," exactly what it is, unmitigated hoss-and-bull-shiite, without any sound scientific basis whatsoever? The Stupid Party, once again, dear friends, has been handed an issue upon which it can rebuild itself. Yet, once again, it will throw away the opportunity. One man, one woman, one loud smart voice ... that's really all it would take to bring this hoax down!
Thanks for the amendment, Thune, old man! But why not do some slashing and burning about the premise of the bill to begin with? Why TF are we buying into this Hot Air Cult?

Why TF are we buying into this Hot Air Cult? Because the left started politicizing science decades ago.
Real scientists are just starting to organize.
Don't blame them...they've had their heads over microscopes like they're supposed to do. The "Sierra Club" scientists don't do real lab work...they organize on Capital Hill.

...every American family would face additional energy costs of up to $3,128 by 2015.Not hardly. Most will pay $0 (or get an "energy rebate"). Others will pick up the tab.
Guess which group voted Kenyan?

But what does all that legislative gobbledegook mean? While walking across the street pondering this exchange with the majority leader yesterday, I happened to run into Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wis.), the ranking member on the House Budget Committee as well as the architect of the Republican budget alternative being released today. I asked him about any specific authorization of reconciliation for cap and trade in the House budget resolution.
The fact that you have a cents worth of reconciliation instructions to Energy and Commerce means Energy and Commerce can do whatever it wants to do in its committees jurisdiction, Ryan said. What is the jurisdiction of Energy and Commerce? Healthcare and cap and trade. It does not shut down the reconciliation option for cap and trade, it preserves the option. Theyre just saying we mean to do healthcare but it doesnt stop them from doing reconciliation on cap and trade.
Wow.

Apparently Boxer’s amendment cuts Thune off at the knees (according to DeMint on twitter yesterday).
I haven’t had time to do any other research on it:

JimDeMint: Thune amdt passes 89-8. But Boxer amdt creates loophole to still allow increase in energy prices. #dembudget

And this is one big scam. Why anyone would vote for any
Cap and Trade program with any exceptions. No such Carbon problems exist. This is nonsense and pure fantasy that is in the minds of ignorant and stupid people.

This is huge.
If passed the way the Dems want it, this bill would ensure our economy would never recover. The American economy has been based on cheap energy at least since Spindletop.
Massive kudos to Thune.
