Good for him!
He is going to piss off the king.
And he did it without hoping Obama succeeds. A conservative who doesn’t want a socialist President to succeed— who wudda thunk it?
I know that our County is going to have to lay off several sheriff’s deputies. There is a federal program that will pay the salary of bottom level LE employees that are layed off for three years. The catch is that the County has to pick up the tab for the fourth year. That means that if the County is in the same budgetary condition in that year, it will have to lay off somewhere else - in smaller departments where there is little lee-way to continue to pay for services. It takes away flexibility.
If it weren’t for the fact that several boomers will be retiring in that third year and the County will lose staff in mid management to pay for it, they could never consider it. They still have to perpetually carry funding of cops on the street hired during the last federal gift.
Smart man
Good for him!
We need many with character like he is demonstrating.
