When you hear the White House spinning this as a victory, you know it’s anything but. Rats had a 4% lead in the polls going into the vote and it didn’t hold up.

That tells you a lot right there. And the media will be ignoring this very soon.

It’s actually good that it’s close right now. Because the media wants to trumpet this as an Obama win for socialism. It’s going to backfire.

I think Bush I was responsible for the intial screw up with Russia.

He spent most of his time trying to shore up the Societ Union while it was collapsing around Gorbachev’s ears. He also visited people like the Ukranians, etc trying to get them to stay in the Soviet area.

THEN, when the Commies collapsed he ignored the new Russian Federation.

Right after the Soviet Union collapsed, the U.S. should have been Johhny-on-the-spot with ecnom,ic support and technical and monetary aid in an attempt to create a pro-western economically stable Russia. We should have worked to establish some kind of mutual economic and military alliance with Russia and the eastern European states to counter the worthless swine who run the ECU.

But they did nothing - nada.

I agree. Bush's and McCain are rich and they live in a world of bipartisan egalitarianism (for the rich ONLY). This is why Warren Buffet is an Omama man. They get into power and they think and act in the best interests of their class. These actions are NOT in the best interests of the Bourgeoisie. They have little in common with the managerial class or the business owners of this country. We pay a huge proportion of our incomes to support a government that then borrows another 80% more than it even takes from us.

We do all of the productive work and they make SURE we barely break even at the end of the year. We get our trip to Disney and the condo in the sun, but, big money from being productive and working your *ss off... NO WAY. The GOP doesn't care about the productive class. It cares about rich people and that is the problem with our government. Think about this as you mail in your tax payment in the next two weeks. Who, pray tell, is the fool?

The GOP is apparently run by K Street elitists who obviously do not care one whit for Conservative values and have no use for us other than to fork over the dough come election times, and man the phones for free on their behalf.

Between the Globalists, lobbyists, and the true RINOs like the McCain family, the GOP has lost touch with us and our values.

Worse yet is that they still do not understand that they will not win without us.
They are going to go the way of the whigs. - Any liberal trash worth his salt can beat his plantation serfs to defeat any RINO.
And until a hard core within the GOP coalesces together around our core beliefs then it is done for as a national party of effective opposition, let alone a party with any hope of a majority.

I am very skeptical that this can be done, because, as I have stated before, they really don't have these values, and most of the rest are too pussified to stand up and take a stand worthy of such men as this one:

OMG! You guys are FREAKING out! Conspiracy theories and paranoia are flying everywhere. Calm down...breathe... The irrational belief that the Democrats have such a sophisticated, nation-wide apparatus that can steal any election at any time is insane! I live in the district and I never thought this would be an easy win even when Tedisco had that 20 pt lead. That was before anyone knew who Murphy was. Murphy has some of his own appeal - a young attractive family and his wife has long established family ties in the area. I am not surprised he picked up votes here.

As far as the 70,000 more registered Republicans. I think that is way over credited. Many of those "Republicans" have voted Dem in the recent past (Gillibrand, Obama).

What I've noticed in this area is that there is much more blind loyalty to the Dem party. There are a lot with Irish ancestry whose families have never voted anything but Dem. The "Murphy" name was an asset there too. Most Republicans are moderate here but will vote Dem if they like the candidate. It rarely goes the other way.

Bottom line for me. I'm not dancing for joy but I do think it was a small anti-Obama win here. My guess is that many more people who voted for Obama/Gillibrand in November switched to Tedisco than switched from McCain/Treadwell to Murphy (I doubt hardly anyone did that).

I hope to look back on this race and see it was the spark for a turnaround in 2010.

You are not making it rain here at all. Not to worry as this portends very favorably to the November election, and the polling that said that the Obama backed candidate was up 4% and should have won easily.

Well that didn’t happen.

You should apply your resources elsewhere now. Perhaps eliminating military ballots in the district and you know the usual ACORN/Rat related activities.

There is nothing wrong with a platform supporting the Constitution and the People. Socialism is not the law of the land; it’s just the stealth practice of Obamunists.

I’ll be at the grassroots taxpayer revolt in NYC on April 15th.

And you should keep telling the “working poor’ how much better Obamunism will make their lives when he rations health care and inserts government failure into every aspect of their waking lives.

The nightmares are already here, free of charge. For now.

Obama’s popularity is not over 60%. That only exists in your RAT filled Daily Kos Kidz propaganda. He’ll be fighting 50% soon enough if he’s not there already according to the independent polling data of Zogby.

So take a hike and figure out how to get rid of the military vote like a good Rat. It’s what Rats are good at.

And we will take this victory and carry it to the next victory.

You are of course correct in viewing the November election in this congressional district, not to mention that Tedisco (R) was 4% down going into this special election.

He also had unpaid volunteers working on his behalf against the money that Obama put in with his ACORN type paid volunteers.

In spite of that, it looks like the Obamunists may still lose. It’s most certainly a good sign if they do.

And rascal(RAT) can go down in flames with them. :)

Doesn't that seem odd to anyone? I'm not a tin-foil hatter, but aren't these double- and triple-digit races getting to be just a little too common? Sure, we hear about how "the country is equally divided", but give me a break. What was it, 600 votes in Bush v. Gore? We've got Coleman/Smalley still duking it out over a handful of votes and I'm sure you could come up with plenty in your area (in Nevada, Harry Reid beat John Ensign by about 400 votes the last time Harry ran for office).

I'm just not buying that candidate x gets 50.x% of the vote and candidate y gets 50.y%. Sure it's possible, but is it as probable as what we're seeing? How many times can you toss a coin and have it land on its edge?
