"...The new legislation, the "Pay for Performance Act of 2009," would impose government controls on the pay of all employees -- not just top executives -- of companies that have received a capital investment from the U.S. government..."

It means the end of capitalism, and the end of the free market system the end of freedom and liberty and the beginning of communism control of our country and ultimately the end of all of us.
These maniacs need to be stopped somehow before it's too late.
Sorry for the double post...OOPS! It was 6:30 when that was posted. I was still asleep!
Question: wouldn’t this also apply to private companies who merely take or are involved with government contract work? Why not? Contract work is certainly government “investment” of public funds.
Central planning and government control for all. Communism is here.
LOL no worries :)!
Actually this half of wage and price controls, most recently imposed by Richard Nixon.
The price controls are the intended remedy for prices once they begin to wildly inflate.
The controls are being eased in, first on high wages, then on all and then on prices.
Gold and hard assets are the remedy.
GE took money and owns NBC, MSNBC and CNBC. Does this mean that their employees will have limited salaries?
Let’s go ahead and follow the logic.
How many sports teams play in expensive playgrounds built by taxpayers? Maybe it’s time we see professional sports payrolls limited by the government, too. I’m sure Peyton Manning would like to see his annual salary limited to a meager 500K. Why not? Except for one year, he’s always under achieved in the playoffs. It’s about time we limited his excessive salary. After all the Indianapolis Capital Improvements Board, a governmental entity which built and operates Lucas Oil Stadium and Conseco Fieldhouse, at a loss I might add, should get a return on its investment in such an underperforming player.
Where else can we go with this?
Communism control of our country the democrats have been working on that type of government for over fifty years just look at the laws they pass see the new CEO of Government Motors.
Eliminate, or tax-to-death, the successful, efficient competition in the free-sector....
CommieEcon 101.
I suggest we all turn out and vote.
Or protest on streetcorners now and then.
That'll stop them, sure. You bet it will.
The country's already lost because way too many people did nothing, and continue to do nothing, even as they give away their rights and ignore the trampling of the constitution by their new rulers. America: it was a great idea, but it didn't last.

I think it’s time to move to China, so my family can live in a free country with a capitalist economy.
[/s - or am I?]
If you have ANY form of government money at all in your company, then this applies. Doesn;t have to be bail out. EG Ball Aerospace, Boeing,Northrup Grumann, any grant any OJT anything that they can claim as government money. This bunch wants us to go back to Moscow 1917 and like it ( don’t ya know)
The next pres is going to have to issue a slew of executive orders to undo what Ze-ro is screwing up.

It just shows that man can not govern themselves. No matter how good the framework is in the beginning, it gets more and more corrupted once it is put into practice.
That is why we need a Savior, a Lord and King. Mercy and Justice will be His.
