I think we have the trolls posting her articles in order to use Freerepublic.com as a de facto “link farm” to drive up her google hits.

She will then claim her ranking as the most googled republican above even Palin.

I’m not doubting the number, just the veracity of the methodology used to arrive at it.

His specific positions aren’t readily apparent. It’ll take some research.

I’ve dated a couple of guys who took their body building very seriously. They also shaved their chests and were most definitely playing on my team.

I don’t care so much what his private bedroom practices are, but if he’s one of those who claim family values while having public bathroom sex, then screw him. Not sure why I expect honesty from a politician, but I guess I’m an optimist.

ACU’s rating system has been around a long time & is as good a means as any to gauge a politician’s ideology in practice.

As I listened to her on Larry “Cadaver” King, I kept thinking about something about which Boortz frequently reminds his male audience: “At some point, you’ll have to try to have a conversation with her.” I also kept thinking that she HAS to be from California until I remembered that Arizona also has valleys.

That's well and good, but frankly, I've tabulated Congress' votes, and at least this year, Schrock's voting record is looking good, with the disclaimer that I might be confusing him with someone else (my tabs are at home). Being that he's only 27 years old, he doesn't have much of a prior voting record, if any.

You’re right about that, he does not have much of a record yet.

Skeeter, that article you found that claimed Schock's ACU Rating was 74%, was referring to Ray Lahood's rating in 2008 (when the article was written). Schock couldnt have had an ACU rating in 2008, as he wasn't he even a Congressman yet when that article was posted. LaHood then put up a 36% in his last term in Congress, which brought his ACU liftime rating down to the 72.46% that he will be shamed by for the rest of his life.

We won't know Schock's ACU rating until after the 2009-2010 Session of Congress Finishes, and as ACU does not do State Legislative Ratings, there is no easy way to gauge his record in the State Legislature other than highlight of it he has campaigned on, and from that record, he sounds pretty Conservative.

Actually, his lifetime rating is 74. McCain’s is currently somewhere in the mid 80s.

yeah he is pretty smart, I dont know how they do the ratings, my guess is he votes the conservative view on hundreds of small pointless items the 20% or so that doesnt vote on must be biggies. I would rather have a guy at 20% that shooting down the big items, like amnesty, gun laws, abortion ect.

IIRC, the tabulations I have at home have Schrock voting right 100% of the time so far (granted, I haven’t updated in about two weeks, still....) Very good point about Schrock not even HAVING an ACU rating yet. I should have caught that myself.

Skeeter’s info was wrong. He was citing LaHood’s lifetime ACU rating. As MassGOP pointed out, this is Schrock’s first year (not even a full term yet) in Congress, which means he doesn’t even HAVE an ACU rating yet, much less a bad one.

I was wondering about that since he’s only been in office a couple of months. Thanks for the clarification.

I can see that now, thanks. There’s virtually no info on the guys actual record yet.

McCain gives Schock high marks for reaching out to demographic groups that do not traditionally vote Republican, for his calls for greater ideological flexibility, and his decision to avoid negative campaign ads.

Kinda depends on what he means by 'greater ideological flexibility'.

When I asked Schock who his favorite president was, he told me Teddy Roosevelt, because he was “a very progressive minded… but at the same time conservative-principled person.”

Oh, OK, he was the one who was with That One at Caterpillar Corp., and who wasn't playing footsie with him.

Sounds like one to watch!
