Conformity had always been despised by the Protestant Christian groups that were so powerful in the US’s Founding. The 60’s created the biggest mass conformity movement in the history of this country and the hippies thought they were so creative and different, when all they were were indulgent, spoiled, selfish, lazy animals—not civilized at all and conforming to what the media was preaching.
