I have nothing against Huckabee, directly, and I will vote for anyone that runs against Obama. That said, I truly believe we (Conservatives) will be better off if Huckabee, Romney and Palin decide not to run. They all have their own little niches and will be divisive to the process.

If we do not make significant gains in 2010, 2012, may not be something that a Conservative even need concern himself/herself with I think. There is always someone in the wings, that the pundits and prognosticators haven’t even considered, that will take up the mantle and surprise us all.

If Cantor can get the face time and the right people around him, he may very well be the one. He is a solid conservative. He is one of us. So many variables, so many possibilities, and I have no desire to anoint anyone three years before the time. So, we shall see.

Unless inflation and unemployment keep rising from now until 2012, Obama is probably going to be re-elected. The media will make sure of that. Therefore I recommend we put up the sacrifical lambs Mitt Romney and Gov Jon Huntsman of UT in 2012. Let Romney and Huntsman blow off their vast personal fortunates trying to take down Obama and lose. This way we will be rid of these RINOs. After 8 years of Obama, hopefully people will tire of Marxism and want change of the conservative kind. This would give Palin or anyone else plenty of time to enhance their knowledge of foreign policy, economics, and national security matters.

If Cantor can get the face time and the right people around him, he may very well be the one. He is a solid conservative.

Why would a solid conservative vote for the Obama CYA, Bill of Attainder 90% AIG tax ?

Politico asked, and he gave nonsensical answers:

“This is a messy situation when you have a government owning 85 percent of an institution,” Cantor said. “None of us want to see that kind of government intervention in the markets. Now I hope this is a signal that we better have an exit strategy so that the government can put a plan in place and get out and let the markets work again.”

Asked when he’d made up his mind, Cantor dodged again.

“Considering the sense here, we want to reward success, not failure,” he said. “I don’t think there’s any business out there across this country that would allow for bonus payments ... to be paid to their employees if they failed. That, to me, doesn’t make any sense.”

Agree completely! And yes, Cantor is a fine one in the wings.

ERIC CANTOR???

You’re presenting ERIC CANTOR as a genuine conservative? What’s the matter, was Michael Steele too “extremist” in his conservatism for your taste?

I can’t imagine these damned idiots whose first instinct when the Left tries to destroy promoters of a conservatism is to grab their rifle... and join the Left.

I’m speechless... horrified... dumbstruck. Why the HELL would we want Cantor? He’s suddenly revealed himself as a true RINO... he’s a lowly frickin’ representative (all the Potomac Kool-Aid guzzling, with none of the experience)... GAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!
