President Obama didnt want any advice from Congress on the decision to ask GM CEO Rick Wagoner to resign, according to Carl Levin (D), Michigans senior senator.
He didnt ask us about it, he informed us, Levin told reporters in a conference call Monday afternoon. The president said hed already decided.
Levin said he and three other lawmakers were informed of the decision in a phone call Obama made from the Oval Office. Obama told the members of Congress that Wagoner needed to resign so that the administration could show the public it was making an effort at a fresh start with helping the auto industry, according to Levin.

So he exerted power he doesn’t have without consulting the body designed, in part, to protect us from despotic tyranny...

The all knowing King Obama doesn’t need to ask anyone. He is the smartest person ever. Just check out his resume. While you’re at it, check out his birth certificate and university degrees, too.

UAW workers who were not pleased with Obamas ousting of Wagoner. I was stunned. Two of the interviewed used the word socialist. How do you know Obama is a socialist? When UAW workers are calling Obama a socialist.

I’m no fan of CEOs walking away with that kind of money but it can’t be changed retroactively.

IF he was so hell bent on exerting power, I wish he’d correspondingly axed the head of the UAW .. symbolic, ya know.. to let us all know that the govt is REALLY doing something about this mess.

Why the heck would he? Our government shouldn't have a thing to do with firing business executives.

HOW do we say Enough?
The Rude awakening will happen at the next election. When “all the votes” are counted, guess who will win?

He has no legal authority.. but I am sure 0bama alluded to bad things happening if he did not comply. Obama may have sic’d his rent-a-mobs on Waggoner’s home a la the AIG execs.

'IF he was so hell bent on exerting power, I wish hed correspondingly axed the head of the UAW" I believe I read a couple of weeks ago that Gettelfinger had announced his retirement at the end of his current term. FWIW.

This makes perfect sense to me, and I dont even have an Ivy League degree. So, you approve of Obama's firing of the CEO of a private company? I think you are in the wrong place - you might be more comfortable over at "Communists Are US".
