I am a professional tax preparer and I know how "extreme the taxes are in New York. You must file a NY State Tax return, New York City Tax Return and a New York City Burrough Tax Return!
Rush, how 'bout Tennessee. No state income tax and the weather is great!
The last estimates I heard, it was around 20 million
EIB-GTT
This administration is pushing everyone, I can't see it resulting in a pretty ending.
We are thinking of moving one more time, way out into the middle of no where.
We’d love for him to come back home to Missouri!
I love Pennsylvania. Low crime area, low taxes (ridiculously low!), gunowner-friendly, 4-season climate, lots of recreation, everybody speaks English, not earthquake or hurricane prone. He’d love the Poconos or Bucks Cty.
Nevertheless if family obligations did not hold me here I’d probably move to Virginia or North Carolina, just for the scenery.
Dallas is the perfect place for Rush. It’s a short flight to both coasts and, though he would have to dodge the occasional tornado, he wouldn’t have any hurricane problems.
Bermuda.
I thought there was no income tax in Florida. Why doesn’t he stay there?
Please explain why a city as large and as filled with business, retail, and commercial enterprises as NY City, they can’t exist on a sales tax? Foot - the license for taxi cabs ought to fund most of city government!
But in all seriousness... This is so insane. Of course, the free-market solution still exists, if the wealthy would get off their lazy bums and actually act on their anger. Do as Rush is discussing - move to a more taxpayer-friendly location. If all the rich folks bellyaching about this in NYC did - then the idiotic “wealth penalty” would go away.
What did he have left in NYC? He’s been broadcasting from the “Southern Command” for years and years.
The real problem resides in the fact that there is different tier levels for salary and of course New York is the highest level and Pittsburgh is the lowest level. So someone doing my same job in New York gets about $40,000 more a year because of the high cost of living in New York. I should get their pay for every day that I am in New York to make up for the difference.
I figured Rush left NY a long time ago.
Let's say....$3.25 per $1000. There are LOTS of places in Texas to pay more, but that might be a decent average for a suburban house in one of the 5 or 6 largest cities in Texas.
That's about $80,000 a year in property tax...over $6,500 per MONTH. That would put a world of hurt on me, but it's chump change to Rush. I bet he pays way, WAY more than that in New York State income taxes right now, and he really doesn't even live there.
In Austin or San Antonio, he could play golf virtually year round, as in Florida, and enjoy some fabulous Mexican food, too!
Come to Austin, Rush!
COME TO MIDLAND, RUSH.
We have great food, great weather (hurricane is a drink), and we’ll leave you alone.
Airport fits a Citation Jet nicely. Private hanger.
Plus, you would ALMOST be conservative enough for us here.
Two words: Crawford, Texas. Rush, I’ll turn you into a Pirates fan.
My property taxes here are one-twentieth what they were for a similar home in NJ.
You can afford to travel more when you save a hefty 5-figure sum on property taxes. You can also afford a better accountant to take care of the state income tax ;) but that’s another story for another day...
From the way Ron White talks about Texas I wouldn’t mind moving there too.
I thought he left New York years ago.
