RICHMOND Ammunition was running out so fast at a gun show late last year in Richmond that one man tried to grab a big can of .223-caliber bullets just as another guy was trying to pay for it.
There was an argument. One guys coming over his shoulder trying to grab his can of 500 rounds of ammo, recalled Josh Golden, a gun and ammo dealer who was selling items at the Richmond Gun Show that day on Nov. 15. They were his, and he was going to let him know that they were his.
In November, firearms transactions spiked about 60 percent over November 2007 in Virginia, and theyre up so far this year, too, according to the number of state police background checks for firearm purchases.
Also, dealers in Virginia and elsewhere say ammunition sales are soaring and it is difficult to keep certain items in stock.

Some gun enthusiasts, she said, see themselves as the vigilante saving grace for our country when were invaded. I dont see life that way, but others apparently do.
Sounds like she would always vie for “Better Red Than Dead”. But then again, she would likely want to be “Red” under any event.
The tree of liberty is thirsty....very, very thirsty.
Our local gun stores are pretty slim on ammo and guns. We have a big gun show coming next weekend, which I’ll attend with the hope of stocking up on ammo/reloading supplies. I’m not going with high hopes.
My son told me today that congress is trying to pass a bill that will force people to pay 200% more for ammo. Better get what you can now.

Eco-Nazi's, supply falling way behind demand, and the ongoing Wars sapping resources. A "perfect storm"...

"Smile when you sya that".
Sure people will stock up on guns and ammo, how many of those people will have the balls to do something when HR45 passes?
Personally, I’m having a heck of a time finding ammo. Everywhere I look online is out or backordered months. Seems to be particularly bad if you need case quantities. I’m beginning to rue the day I decided there really wasn’t much of penalty in owning firearms in so many different calibers.
HR 45 is DOA.
I Have Big Brass Ones.....
Molon Labe.....
And I'm feeling pretty smart these days for buying common calibers.
.22 LR.
5.56 NATO
7.62 NATO
.45 ACP
.44 Mag/Spl
12 gauge
That's it.
Well I do have a .380, but I bought 1000 rounds of ball ammo when I picked it up last year, and a set of dies for the RCBS.
I guess that was a pretty good decision.
You just reminded me I need a new bumper sticker thanks!
Never underestimate the scumminess of liberals to jump up and bite you on the butt from the gutters wherein they live!
A few well placed shots from a .22 can get you everything else you need.
