Why would the church have and “take” on the Mariott Corp? It was not founded by the church nor is it owned by the church. Timmothy McVeigh was a Nazarene, so what? I know that your life would be blissful if you could blame every bad on the church, but you are stretching things a bit.

No, the point isn't simply that Bill Marriott is a Mormon. If you think that's all that's tied in here, you're off-base. The point is that Bill Marriott is currently serving as an Area Seventy and is a member of the LDS Church's Sixth Quorum of the Seventy.

Those are church LEADERSHIP positions. And LDS are known for keeping a tight control on certain moral concerns re: its leadership.

So why are they looking the other way here?
