I understand there is a new anti-freeper site started by disgruntled former and present Mormon FReepers and it is their intention of bankrupting FR during the coming Freepathon by withholding their donations and disrupting our activities. Well, all I can say is, if they feel that badly against FR, by all means they should withhold their donations and drop out of FR. But it they attempt to disrupt our operations I will guarantee they will no longer be members of FR. If that is their wish, so be it.
I'm not going to try to defend FR from their claims of religious persecution, but I will say that Mormons have and always have had free reign to post their threads on FR just as all other religious groups have enjoyed. Free Republic defends the right to freedom of religion and has always welcomed religious discussion and always will. And Mormons have always been welcome here. I have absolutely nothing against Mormons.
If you are one who has left or is leaving, I wish you well, but disruption of FR is not welcome and will not be tolerated.
And this is not the first time such activity has been attempted by groups of disgruntled former FReepers. Good luck with that. There is always some group that feels FR should be bent to their way of thinking and end up saying my way or the highway. Well, I don't know about you, but I'm not changing so I guess it's the highway. Is it Feb 8 yet?

I have had attacks on me from pro Mitt mormons to a degree I care not to discuss, as I am sure others here have also had.
I stay off their stupid threads which number in the millions a day, sometimes one right after the other.
And this recent tactic of attacking FR just goes to show the type of people we are dealing with here.

Well all I can tell you is that has been my experience over 25 yrs in two different states. I'm not "alleging" anything. Ha!! But good try there!!
It's not hard to believe that there may be isolated cases of a bad apple Bishop out there, but your term “many” leads me to question the authenticity of your assertion.
I know you guys just can't fathom anything that goes against your template. You just can't stand it when someone points out the truth.

I would think that many non LDS here who have had interactions w/ Bishops & other LDS alike would have a substantially different take than the one you portray, as has been stated just in this thread. My best wishes for peace in your life & a humble heart.

Yes of course I know some decent people that are LDS.....but sometimes when you peel those onions back..there are some rotten spots there too. You have a ton of members that are suffering, and hurting inside. But you guys work VERY HARD to keep up the public persona. Every things good, every things fine...we are this, we are that. All public proclamations, all basically advertisement.
I would ask you to look into your hardened heart...and find the Hope, and the Truth. He is waiting for you.

I have never heard of Greg West until he was brought up in this thread. I don't even know if he is a real person or someone’s clever creation to put down Mormons. There are 5 Greg West's on Yahoo People Search. Tell me where Greg West lives. If he is on the list I will call him and ask what is going on.
You say FR is for whatever people want to post. Well, I want to rebut what I consider unfair and distorted attacks on Mormons and Romney. I do not respond to those that are civil and based on correct information unless they seem to be seeking information. If I don't see the attacks, I prefer to be a lurker.
If that is too much for people, I will move on and better spend my time elsewhere.

I am the moderator that the anti-Mormon posters consider to be pro-Mormon, simply because I enforce the rules about not dragging dogmatic disputes from the Religion Forum into news threads (and for the record, I am not Mormon and am neutral about their religious views).
As a moderator, you can never make everyone happy - for the anti-Mormon hardcores, I must be pro-Mormon for enforcing FR rules when they violate them. I have found that those who carry around sour grapes can only offer you sour wine. And these SPAM-LDS AFers are just as sour as those they decry.

As a Mormon FReeper, I’ve found the moderators to be quite fair, enforcing the same posting rules for everyone.
That false statement looks like you are accusing the RM of not doing his job.
If what you say is true, show me which of my posts have been deleted or where I have been told by the RM that I have been out of line.
If you think the RM is not doing his job, go over his head and tell his supervisor.
I am tired of lies and false accusations, so stop it.

I have asked simple direct questions, and they are never answered, just deflected with word games and deception just as videos from your higher ups teach you to do.
Yes, I have seen the videos that are proven to be from your organization instructing "believers" not to answer direct questions and to deflect inquiries into the truth about your beliefs.
I realize you are following the mandates given to you by your higher ups, but don't be surprised that they won't work on everyone.
