Funny you call Fred, Resty too. LOL!!

I rest my case.......there.

Personally I have found over the last 25 years that many long time members and bishops of the mormon church don't know "jack" as you say, either And they couldn't quote a bible verse if they had too..but only could repeat the mormon church teachings...And many were out and out racists, among other things..

One of your bishops..that I worked with called big rocks on his property "Nigger Heads"...Yet, supposedly he lead other young mormons? I wonder what he taught them...Gee, and I wonder where he learned that stuff?

Another told me once..."you don't need to bother yourself with that Jesus saves stuff...LDS is the TRUE Church!"

Where did that come from?

It came directly from your teachings...from B. Young..and J. Smith. There's no realistic denying it...and there's rational debating it.

But I know you guy's will try.......

And frankly I welcome it...because the more you do.....the worse you look in many young and unsaved others eyes. IF they have eyes to see..and ears to hear the Truth.

Well maybe Mormonism doesn't teach it any more, but Joseph Smith taught that God the Father was an exalted man who lived on an earth like this one and later became God.

Now who should I believe on this doctrine? You or the Founding Prophet of your Church?

Who has more authority to speak for Mormonism.

You or Joseph Smith?

What a hateful and intolerant thing to say about Evangelical Christians.

He must be an ANTI-Evangelical
+++++_

It would have been nice if he had said “some Evangelical”.

It would have made it harder for you to mis-represent what he said and for you to make it look like he was talking about all Ev's.

Do you see the quote of yours in that post?

Well, Osage Orange is posting to fproy2222 and neglected to ping you, as he was talking about that quote of yours.

He was trying to help you not embarass yourself further by posting statements like that because all it does is evade the question and accuse the poster that you are referencing of not having knowledge that indeed the poster does have.

So the confusion was at your end, not your defender Osage Orange.

You should thank him...

You would be amazed at the knowledge that non Mormons have of the teachings of your organization.

I would suggest reading a little slower, and pondering your answers a bit before posting.

Just trying to help...

Since we all take a great deal of unpaid heat for voicing our concerns, I suspect we act out of a deeper sense of love than those who would let someone pull the holy garments over the eyes of the unsuspecting.

Agreed. And we are in good company:

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved (Mark 13:13, KJV)

Do you know their denomination?

I did when they posted what religion they are.

I don't remember them all, but some are Christian.

You don't have to be a “denomination” to be a Christian.

Paul, Peter and those other 1st century guys didn't belong to a denomination.

They were followers of Jesus Christ.

They were Christians.

Now it is possible when you ask people their denomination, they don't tell you right away because they may have asked you several questions that you only gave an emotional! response! and not an answer.

Perhaps if you gave simple answers to simple questions you would get them back.

And as an end note, it's not my job to watch closely for you when someone declares how they describe their faith.

And the anti never identify their faith that way they are free from any comparisons or being called on not following their doctrine...

Well RestyFred....you and I know that is a BALD FACED LIE...

Plenty of posters have told you and others what denomination they are....I happen to have told you at least twice that I am a follower of and/or believer in Jesus Christ, or properly Yeshua. Which would make me a Christian.

So what am I to make of this post of yours...is this just another lying for the Lord exercise?

Let us look at how your use of words is teaching others that which in not true.

You keep asking me if God is a man.

God is not a man.

I, a man, can become like our Father in Heaven.

You, a man, can become like our Father in Heaven.

But then again, many would be mis-lead by the way you twist the past and present and future to make our teachings something they are not.

And then there is that question that you asked, based on your twisted facts, that make it look like I disagree with Brother Joseph.

Do you know you are doing this, or is it just a habit?

I do a good job of it, even though there has been a time or two that I learned where I was wrong and corrected what I teach.

Oh, sorry I misunderstood.

I thought you were a Mormon.

It was the differences in man's understandings of God, as manifested in the different denominantiions, that caused me to ask if God was real and if He was, which of the teachings is His teachings.

You keep asking me if God is a man. God is not a man.

Then you would have to agree with me that Joseph Smith is a false prophet when he declared the following:

God himself was once as we are now, and is an exalted man, and sits enthroned in yonder heavens! That is the great secret. If the veil were rent today, and the great God who holds this world in its orbit, and who upholds all worlds and all things by His power, was to make himself visible,—I say, if you were to see him today, you would see him like a man in form like yourselves in all the person, image, and very form as a man; for Adam was created in the very fashion, image and likeness of God, and received instruction from, and walked, talked and conversed with Him, as one man talks and communes with another.

In order to understand the subject of the dead, for consolation of those who mourn for the loss of their friends, it is necessary we should understand the character and being of God and how He came to be so; for I am going to tell you how God came to be God. We have imagined and supposed that God was God from all eternity. I will refute that idea, and take away the veil, so that you may see.

So are we in agreement that Joseph Smith was a false prophet?

Just look at this thread and see all the ones who are proud to be on the Mormon haters list. They mostly post on religious threads and don’t get involved in any of the political discussions.

I read, and occasionally post, on political threads, but do tend to stick mostly to the RF. That is because I believe I am called, by GOD, to witness to those still in the LDS church. To share my experiences, and my faith.

And I am very grateful to JR to give a forum in which to do that.

Thank you again, Jim.
