A video purporting to show Ashley Biden -- daughter of Vice President Joe Biden -- snorting cocaine reportedly is being offered for sale. The New York Post reports that it was shown a 90-second clip of a 42-minute video by a lawyer claiming to represent an anonymous "friend" of the vice president's daughter. The lawyer, Thomas Dunlap, and another man say the video shows Biden's daughter using the drug at a house party this month in Delaware.

I don’t see what the big deal is. Let her enjoy herself.

Is that also Ron Paul's position that if you don't agree with a law it's ok to ignore it?

and since she is a state or federal employee, if she doesn’t volunteer for rehab and they “randomly” test her, she’s gone.

I would also venture her career as YWCA spokesperson is kaput.

The sad part is she MAY be completely innocent. WAIT FOR CONFIRMATION before heating the tar and killing the chickens..

1. Cocaine is illegal, and Hillary just a couple days ago blamed Americans insatiable appetite for all the deaths on the border.

No, cocaine is NOT illegal. Cocaine is Schedule II because it has medical uses.
To manufacture, distribute, or dispense, or possess with intent to manufacture, distribute, or dispense, a controlled substance is an unlawful act.
Cocaine, in and of itself, is not "illegal". In fact, there are NO "illegal drugs". There are only "unlawful acts".

Poor you, you've been duped, along with millions of your fellow Citizens.

There is a law.
And you don't seem to know what the law is either.
Drugs are illegal.
Wrong, wrong, wrong! See reply #46.
Taking drugs are illegal.
The unauthorized use of a controlled substance is an unlawful act. Taking drugs is not illegal else one could never take so much as an aspirin, which is a drug.
What part of illegal is so hard to grasp?
What part of unlawful act is so hard to grasp?

You are not answering the question with any specifics about what the Constitution authorizes in terms of criminalization. Article I, Section 8 governs the legislative branch and contains the following blanket clause.

To make all laws which shall be necessary and proper for carrying into execution the foregoing powers, and all other powers vested by this Constitution in the government of the United States, or in any department or officer thereof.

Moreover, there are plenty of other articles and amendments in the Constitution that provide powers to criminalize behavior. Article I Section 8 just describes the scope of legislative power. Does the federal government have the right to criminalize murder? Theft? Counterfeiting? The fact that drugs are not mentioned specifically in the Constitution is not the issue.

Since when is a 27 year old a "child?"

When they display the maturity and judgement skills of one?

"She’s struggling with her mother’s death in that accident!"

This daughter is by the second wife and born in '81. The first wife was killed in '72.

All your comments point to the last one you stated so I get your point, however,

1. Thats why we teach them to connect the dots, with pithy statements and video

2. I agree that many drug addicts are from good and conservative families, however, the fact remains that those running for office should have control over their own family. How can we expect them to have control over what goes on in the government, (spending, taxing, unjust laws, etc) if they haven’t had the ability or strength of conviction to figure out how to convince their own families of what they believe and stand for. In Joe Bidens case, along with many other politicians, they only care about themselves and what being in political life can do for them. The let them eat cake mentality in todays politics is what is wrong here, and righting it will take strong men and women to fix.

Excuse me? I posted a news article.

But while we are on the subject matter:
If you must then -— Run, hide and think you are higher than the Liberals- but- a druggie doesn’t need to have a state job, especially as a social worker.
