So... show me the variations. How in the world can you possibly believe that all of the various middle species died out. Why that would take a TREMENDOUS amount of faith to believe.

I understand evolution. I just don’t understand how people can have such faith in something they have no proof of and cannot see.

Or can I?

Is it possible that you have to be just as religious to believe in evolution? The only difference I can see is that your faith is a dead end.

As I pointed out, there is indeed such evidence. Ring species show speciation in action, where a common ancestor is slowly evolving into two separate species. An example is the Ensatina salamander, where the intermediate populations are evident:

"These two forms are connected by a chain of populations to the north that encircles the Central Valley of California, and through this ring of populations the color patterns of the salamanders change gradually."

So you have the evidence, with the intermediate forms still existing. Speciation in action.
