I mentioned earlier this week that my friends at CEI are leading a counter-movement today to answer the enviro-nitwits’ “Earth Hour” with Human Achievement Hour.

Well, all of us here deep in “Free America”, AKA Texas, have every light in the house, the yard, the pool and even my pick-up on. And not one is a CFC or any other goofy “better for the environment but are actually toxic mercury and if you throw them away could end up in the water supply” light bulb.

8:30 here in CDT. All of my neighbors have their lights on INCLUDING the one I know to be a liberal!

I’ve been reading with the use of 3 lamps and overhead lights I’m also washing and drying clothes. My kitchen light is on, my family is watching a movie and now I’m playing on the computer.

I live in SOCAL. At 8:30PM, I’m turning on my outside lights, my 3 HDTVs, all the lights in the house and, of course, my computer.

I just got home and turned on all visible lights in my house, upstairs and down. Of course, being in Barry Obama’s neighborhood, I don’t think there will be a whole lot of people who will really give a crap. I looked out and saw a LOT of lights burning bright. I think you’d have to get a bit nearer the university to find those morons.

I was tempted to put the Christmas lights back up! I settled for every light in the house on - even over the stove.

I also have my attic and crawl space lights on. My home looks great!

Thanks for reminding me about the stove light! Since there are a few liberals in my neighborhood I got my Black Sabbath "War Pigs"CD ready to pop into the stereo at 8:30pm at full blast, just in case some of them were planning on having a little quiet time!

Next year we should plan some house parties around this event!

It's just about time here to get things going. Usually my house is one of the darkest on the street. Not tonight. I'll have all the lights on. All the outside floor & decorative lights. Gotta go get the dishwasher ready to run.

I’m so proud of my neighbors. I looked outside at zero hour and was delighted to see only one dark house. Many were lit up completely like mine. All the lights on in my house generated so much heat that I had to turn on the A/C to cool down. ;-)
