A FRIEND of Sarah Palin who has been described as an unpaid political adviser to her was once behind a failed scheme to establish the Church of Scientology as a major Washington, DC, power player, according to Gawker.com.
The site reports that John Coale launched a plan back in 1986 called FLAGG PAC, which was intended to "create power" for Scientology in Washington.

The left believes that the right is “intolerant” -— so the Left comes up with these things, trying to cause trouble in the ranks of the right.
Bacon was in Tremors with Michael Gross who was in family Ties with Michael J. Fox who was in Mars Attacks with Danny Divito who was in Batman with Christopher Walken who was in Hairspray with John Travolta who knew Gretta’s husband thru scientology....
LOL
this is fun!
Debunked hit piece on Sarah Palin, per an earlier thread this week, which the Admin Moderator removed.
Interesting way to link Sarah Palin to Scientilogy. By WHOM, exactly, has this 'friend' been described as an unpaid political advisor? From what I've read, in the last few days, it's been blogs that have already identified themselves as being AGAINST Sarah Palin, so they were trying to diminish her by connecting her with what some believe is a cult.
The man in question is Greta Van Susteren's husband, and Greta publicly refuted the description in an article this past week. She said that her husband had helped Sarah with some things, as he'd helped other women candidates, including liberals. I don't see those candidate's names mentioned in breathless stories about their 'unpaid political advisor'.
I guess the NY Post didn't believe Greta, or just wanted to drag the story out, because they know that Sarah Palin is newsworthy.
And we are supposed to bail out Newspapers who use their assets to lynch Palin?
How about this doing a report on Junk Mail?
Or how about fixing the economy for only 4 billion$ ?
“This was an article from the St. Petersburg Times Newspaper on Sunday. The Business Section asked readers for ideas on “How Would You Fix the Economy?” I think this guy nailed it!
Dear Mr. President,
Patriotic retirement:
There's about 40 million people over 50 in the work force;
pay them $1 million apiece severance with stipulations:
1) They leave their jobs. Forty million job openings - Unemployment fixed.
2) They buy NEW American cars. Forty million cars ordered - Auto Industry fixed.
3) They either buy a house or pay off their mortgage - Housing Crisis fixed.
Best of all it only cost $4 Billion! “
I thought that everybody was related to everybody, if you went far enough back.
The weird thing is the NY Post is owned by Rupert Murdock, who owns FOX News. I’m kind of surprised they’d do an article based on dirt from another source. Looks like they didn’t even attempt to do their own investigation.
Barney Frank is friends with the Village People. (Not true, it’s a joke.)
This is an attempt to discredit Greta Von Sustern and punish her for her support of Sarah Palin. They are outing Greta’s husband as a member scientology because they are not sure whether Greta is still a believer and can’t find any recent verification.
?
Huh. I didn’t know Val Kilmer was a scientologist. I love his portrayal of Doc Holliday in “Tombstone.”
TET ... that would be 4 TRILLION
They are still scared to death of Sarah. What a bunch of gutless weasels.
"Described by" who? Hollis French? Rahm Emanuel? David Axelrod?
"The New York Post, which has been described as " a filthy nest of child-eating vampires".....
See, anyone can play that game.
I heard somewhere that he is. A priest of some sort.
As long as he isn’t pushing that Co$ crap on Palin, it shouldn’t be an issue. If Obama gets a pass for paling around with terrorists, this isn’t a big deal at all.
“A FRIEND of Sarah Palin who has been described as an unpaid political adviser to her was once behind a failed scheme to establish the Church of Scientology”
Ever feel like you’ve got nothing left?
Looking pretty good for Palin.
