Homeland Security: The open-borders crowd is angry the president ditched its radical choice to run the nation's civil-rights division. And it's blaming this paper for his "faintheartedness."
But then, at the last minute, the president deselected him in the face of vocal opposition to Saenz's extremist work for an illegal alien group, whose co-founder has made racist remarks against whites.
The New York Times, for one, complains that we did its man in with our March 5 editorial, "Who's Thomas Saenz?" "An editorial in Investor's Business Daily slimed Mr. Saenz," who's spent his career standing up for the "rights" of illegal immigrants, its editorial board said.
If we slimed Saenz, we did so with solid facts clearly inconvenient to the Times' amnesty-for-illegals agenda.
"The suffering that illegal immigrants endure — from raids to workplace exploitation to mistreatment in detention — is a civil-rights crisis," the paper contended in its editorial.
"Mr. Saenz would have been an ideal candidate to reaffirm values that have been lost in the poisoned debate, had Mr. Obama dared to nominate him."
New York's Anti-Defamation League joined in the Saenz pity party, condemning our piece as "outrageous and shameful" (see letter below).

IBD - alive and well. Been a fan their great paper for about 25 years.

One of their guys, when I subscribed to it in their early days, told me that IBD was started because of its founder’s disgust with the WSJ’s man in Washington Al Hunt and other lefties working for what was supposed to be the newspaper of business.
Exactly. Heavin forbid that the guy could actually do the right thing. He is a front pure and simple doing the work of those that want a one world government with all their stupid ideas. They want to take away all cultures and make them into one for their Utopia. I don’t want the cultures to disolve and be one.

Like many left wing activist groups they use human rigthts...in this case usually protection of Jewish rights as a cover to dismantle anything the see as pluralist.
They exist to attempt to limit the power of the Christian majority it appears more often than not. Which is unfortunate. They have a much more clear and dangerous enemy right on their heels already.
I actually knew Art Teitlebaum in Miami...not a bad fellow but a lefty no doubt. His brother Joey who ran a dockon the Miami river I liked a lot. Colorful guy with Reagan pics on the wall.

I concur. This isn’t the first great editorial I’ve read or heard about from them. The IBD Crew have bigger stones than all the GOP put together.
