What's wrong with one man one vote? Are they afraid the majority will vote for what they demand? And win. You trust a contrived electoral college, when the simplest form of voting is simply a majority rule?

Are you really dragnet2, who has been here since 1998? Or am I talking with someone else who hijacked dragnet2's screenname? I'm suspicious because all conservatives favor the electoral college. It's written into our Constitution. Without an electoral college system, politicians could pander only to the most heavily populated areas of the country. They could campaign in the most heavily populated places, ignore the rest of the country, and promise everything to the biggest cities. Remember what happened in the 2000 election. Imagine if our presidential elections were based on the popular vote, and it was close. The candidates would've been challenging it in the court system, not only in one state, but in precinct after precinct, all across the country, trying to gain a few more votes. A presidential election could go on forever (sort of like the Minnesota race). ;-)

It's ironic we push one man, one vote for the rest of the countries of the world...

The electoral college groups voters by state, not rural or urban division.

One man, one vote just does not bother me. The concept of majority rules, is what this country was founded on.

As far as elections, I'd rather see media polling 24 hours preceding elections, be completely banned. It's clear, it's used in attempts to compromise elections. No secret there.

In addition, to showing proof of citizenship to vote. Long over due.

“Yes, Obama probably sees this man as his ally.”

So after viewing both videos here, you still feel Obama sees this individual as his ally?

Oh, and this is not complicated, and the technology has been there for years.

Each state turns in their votes. Very simple. Not complicated. One vote per man. Majority rules.

It's a really simple, American concept.

In addition, if what you say is true, implying the electoral college will save America from favoring highly populated, socialistic, liberal big cities etc.......How is it we ended up with Obama?
