Hezbollah uses Mexican drug routes into U.S.
Washington Times ^ | March 27, 2009 | Sara A. Carter

Hezbollah is using the same southern narcotics routes that Mexican drug kingpins do to smuggle drugs and people into the United States, reaping money to finance its operations and threatening U.S. national security, current and former U.S. law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism officials say. The Iran-backed Lebanese group has long been involved in narcotics and human trafficking in South America's tri-border region of Paraguay, Argentina and Brazil. Increasingly, however, it is relying on Mexican narcotics syndicates that control access to transit routes into the U.S.

Hezbollah relies on "the same criminal weapons smugglers, document traffickers and transportation experts as the drug cartels," said Michael Braun, who just retired as assistant administrator and chief of operations at the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA)...His comments were confirmed by six U.S. officials, including law enforcement, defense and counterterrorism specialists. They spoke on the condition that they not be named because of the sensitivity of the topic.....

And setting up sleeper cells, no doubt. If this is what is being made public, who knows what is really going on.

But didn’t Jimmy Carter decide that Hezbollah are our friends?

Why would they need to sneak into the country?

In the tri-border area of the Southern Cone the late 19th and early 20th century Christian “Turko” migrants from the Ottoman Empire, found a home and became very successful in business. Then, in the late nineteen eighties a new strain of Turkos began to arrive. They were the Muslim Arabs from Syria, Lebanon and Palestine. They went into major commerce and gem smuggling and were backed by Arabs with big bucks. The old Turkos understood what the new guys were up to, and have worked with the governments of Argentina, Paraguay and Brazil to keep a close eye on their operations.
Why can’t we do the same in the USA? Ask Helen Thomas and other offspring of Turco migrants to the USA.

Who's really surprised?

If I was a bad guy, I'd be doing the same thing because the BORDERS ARE OPEN.

Dopus plans on amnesty for illegals and making the borders MORE open. We are so screwed ... .

The Protean Enemy
Foreign Affairs ^ | July 2003!!
Hezbollah, considered to be the most sophisticated terrorist group in the world. Hezbollah, which enjoys backing from Syria and Iran, is based in southern Lebanon and in the lawless “triborder” region of South America, where Paraguay, Brazil, and Argentina meet. The group has also maintained a fundraising presence in the United States since the 1980s.
The triborder region of South America has become the world’s new Libya, a place where terrorists with widely disparate ideologies — Marxist Colombian rebels, American white supremacists, Hamas, Hezbollah, and others — meet to swap tradecraft. Moneys raised for terrorist organizations in the United States are often funneled through Latin America, which has also become an important stopover point for operatives entering the United States. Reports that Venezuela’s President Hugo Ch_z is allowing Colombian rebels and militant Islamist groups to operate in his country are meanwhile becoming more credible, as are claims that Venezuela’s Margarita Island has become a terrorist haven.

It's all part of the plan.

Let whoever set off some kind of massive terrorist attack so the gun grabbers and the Socialist One Worlders can proceed with their takeover.

Surprise, surprise. Dirty scumbags doing business with other dirty scumbags. Whoda' thunk?

But please remember that no terrorist was ever in Iraq during Saddam's reign of terror.

Nope, never...
