Hutchinson thinks she is going to be a republican governor of Texas - As I have told her before “she had better unhitch her horse because it ain’t going to plow”.

I called both of our liberal Senators yesterday about this. I’m starting to know the staff’s names... (Sure they’ll have me on the do-not-answer list soon.)

Did you see this about this bill not allowing for church attendees to be a part of the program? This is truly the establishment of an atheist brigade of Socialist Obamatons.

“Ah yes, our lil’ ol’ cheerleader Kay Bailey Hutchison is there, jes like I thought she’d be. Pathetic pro-abortion, closet socialist but maybe not so closet now...”

She’s really trying to lose the Gov primary next year, isnt she.... ... and Perry will be speaking at a TEA Party event next month. Perry’s going conservative and she’s going DC...

Pathetic!

“I am amused by the name of the bill: The Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act.

BWAHAHAhahahahaha! ! ! ! !”

It explains the purpose: Govt-funded Volunteer designated drivers for drunken politicians having laisons.

Democrats, with a very few exceptions, have core values; Bigger government, a more controlling government, a free spending government, and a lust for power. Thus, there are very few DINO’s.

Republicans, on the other hand, with a few exceptions, have no core values; Smaller government, a less controlling government, a fiscally responsible government and less interest in power as such. Thus, most all Republicans are, in fact, RINO’s.”

No, I dont think its lack of core values, its that smaller Government when you have a huge Federal govt already really means no programmatic agenda except to CUT PROGRAMS THAT ALREADY EXIST. And here’s the rub: DC is full of special interests that exist solely to KEEP AND EXPAND those programs.

So any principled conservative is a skunk at a garden party inside DC.

Which in turn means anyone without an iron will and stubborn personality and/or complete loner, ends up ‘going along’, even if a supposed conservative with some of the nonsense.

Our guys end up looking weak and inconsistent.

This bill is a bad bad idea and we should have had fewere defections on it.

This 18 are too few, but these are pretty much the only Senators worth a darn on Capitol Hill. Every single Democrat is worse than useless and a dozen or so GOP senators are close to useless. Sad for our nation.

1. Sessions (Ala.)
2. Shelby (Ala.)
3. Kyl (Ariz.)
4. Crapo (Idaho)
5. Risch (Idaho)
6. Brownback (Kan.)
7. Roberts (Kan.)
8. McConnell (Ky.)
9. Bunning (Ky.)
10. Vitter (La.)
11. Ensign (Nev.)
12. Coburn (Okla.)
13. Inhofe (OKla.)
14. DeMint (S.C.)
15. Graham (S.C.)
16. Corker (Tenn.)
17. Cornyn (Tex.)
18. Barrasso (Wyo.)

“what I am surprised about is Chambliss, come on Saxby, after everything Sarah did to get you elected you do this..shame shame”

I thought the same thing, so I wrote my senator and pretty much told him I thought he had learned from his squeaker that Sarah helped him win, but apparently he hadn’t. I explained to him why the bill was no good and that he needed to learn what the Constitution had to say about freedom. So here’s his reply:

Dear HOG:

Thank you for contacting me regarding S. 277, the “Serve America Act.” It is good to hear from you.

S. 277 was introduced on January 16, 2009 and referred to the Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions. This legislation would establish new service related programs aimed at creating volunteer opportunities for Americans. Among the new programs established would be the ServeAmerica Corps that would provide grants to states and nonprofit organizations to fund national service in low-income communities. It would also create the Youth Engagement Zones to Strengthen Communities program and the Campus of Service Program to engage students in service-learning activities and to assist students in pursuit of public service careers.

Further, it would create a Volunteer Generation Fund to award grants to states and nonprofits to increase the capacity of volunteers to address state priorities. It also would establish a National Service Reserve Corps to respond to national disasters and other emergencies.

Volunteer and service work are bedrocks of our American values. I believe all citizens should take the time to give back to their community. Should this legislation come before the full Senate, I will keep your views in mind.

There are quite a few in that list who aren’t worth a darn. Graham, for one. McConnell is a putz. And Cornyn tried to introduce a bill that would mandate the collection and storage of data on users of wireless networks, even access points owned and operated by individuals for the benefit of their families, for on-demand inspection by the police.

Out of that list, five...maybe ten...are worth a darn. The rest, well, must have been sufficiently browbeaten by their constituents into voting properly.

Over 50% of Rs voted for.

THIS is why we need a new party.

If Obama thinks those 18-25s who voted for him want to drafted into national service (or SLAVERY), he’s got another thing coming. I almost hope they’re dumb enough to try and a pass a mandatory program.
