Politicians whose “comprehensive” energy plan is centered around solar and wind energy are likewise shills for OPEC, because nothing they do will reduce our use of middle east oil by even one drop. They are posers, pretending to care about our energy security while opposing anything and everything that would impact OPEC’s bottom line.

I consider myself a fairly seasoned political observer yet I never made that connection. Of course it makes sense. The irony is magnificent - the ultimate in “Big oil” (OPEC) paying money to “save the earth” when in reality, they’re paying so they can keep pumping and kachinging.

The irony rivals that of the NOW gang who defended BJ clinton’s right to a first grope, because he was going
to protect abortion rights (which kill 50% women).
