Yes, it was tragic that McCain spent all those years in a North Vietnamese prison camp.
However, it is no excuse for sedition or treason
McCain has been one of the prime movers in the loss of National Soverignty. His support of illegal aliens over American citizens is sickening....and his valuing of Free Trade/Globalism over the American economy is totally destructive
His immigration bill proposed the elimination of the US as we know it...by promoting the North American Union...and was also involved in doing away with the US currency...replacing it with the “Amero” (It was all in the McCain-Kennedy Amnesty Bill)
I have problems with someone who, after spending years in a communist prison camp....supported by the Communist Chinese (who were active in North Vietnam during the Vietnam War)...would be so active to promote and support wealth-redistributing trade deals with the same Communist Chinese who held him captive for so long
I hate to say this way, but think about it.
How does a POW survive? By playing the game. By making himself useful to his captors. By being, doing & saying whatever he has to stay alive. Ethics and ideals have nothing to do with it.
How does a politician "survive"? By playing the game. By making himself useful to his paymasters. By being, doing, and saying whatever he has to "stay alive" with the people who stuff his campaign war chest & with the voters. Ethics and ideals have nothing to do with it.
Many men gave their lives for this country and they are real heroes even when if we don't know their names. But whatever "heroism" John McCain may once have been capable of, simply by surviving when so many didn't, he cashed in on long ago to create a political career for himself.
