GIVE Act outlaws citizens' right to protest
Salt Lake City Non-Partisan Examiner ^

Posted on 03/26/2009 9:27:39 AM PDT by wk4bush2004

It is another sound good piece of legislation. H.R. 1388 has a creative title; The Generations Invigorating Volunteerism and Education (GIVE) Act. 321 representatives of the people voted approval for this legislation which, among many other things, strikes a blow to the rights of people to mount any protests against legislation. Listen closely, it outlaws the right to mount protests against proposed legislation.

You think were are heading to a violent confrontation?
___________
I think it’s inevitable. The division is too great. We have a huge cultural divide as well as different views of what our Constitution means. With ACORN and other union groups empowered, it’s inevitable. I think the military would be involved if it got really bad. Probably 75% side with the people, 25% side with the ones trying to over throw our government and make us the USSA.

100% correct. This is not just some disagreement on political ideology, it's far worse than that. We have at leeat 2 different sectors of the population who want things in their view. This is very akin to the situation before the Civil War.

Some people want the country to stay the way it is and some people want a European style socialist haven.  We can't have both and sooner or later it will reach a breaking point.

It quotes Rahm Emanuel as saying the goal is to have all Americans between 18 and 25 perform 3 months of service—that sounds mandatory. It’s not clear whether that’s buried in this particular bill or is a future goal.

How can a volunteer program be mandatory?

Our swim team has had this for years ... when they say 'volunteer' they mean 'unpaid'. For the team, it's not a pun, it's what they call it -- mandatory volunteering.

With government, it appears to be PC for involuntary servitude. No worry, it's for the general good.

The actual amendment says, “Amendment to prohibit organizations from attempting to influence legislation; organize or engage in protests, petitions, boycotts, or strikes; and assist, promote, or deter union organizing.”

It has to do with organizations, not individuals.

I note that you folks have not complained about the fact that most seniors in high school have a required number of community service hours to fill before graduation.

Yup ... I'm not too fond of that one, myself.

This ones good: What are Tea Parties?

Well, this is pretty simple: Tea Parties are gatherings of Americans to protest high government spending and the impoverishment of the American people to get through a minor economic recession.

The Tea Parties are the rattle of the rattlesnake, the warning that you have gotten far too close for comfort and now need to back off and make amends and show that you are, indeed, backing off.

In the 1950’s Red china sent its Army into Korea, according to Choui they all volunteered.

It goes something like,”Do you volunteer or do you want a bullet in the back of your head?”

We are heading toward a confrontation.

Whether it is violent or not depends on if you submit to becoming a slave to them or not. No tyrant in the recorded history of the world has stopped on their oun accord. They have all had to be stopped at a price. That price has always been paid in blood.
