Cute. Mind you, that dodges the question of how much crime actually was committed with this vague category of firearm - it was microscopic. You might just as well say that the once the police were no longer worried about being strafed with attack helicopters they could concentrate on their jobs better.

What did happen was that a lot of states went to "shall-issue" conceale carry laws. Funny how that didn't come up.

CCW will be banned on the Federal level and will be extended to the states in the next Federal Gun Control legislation.
