Pyongyang has asserted its right to develop its space program, but regional powers suspect the North will use the launch to test the delivery technology for a long-range missile capable of striking Alaska. They have warned that the launch would trigger sanctions.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton warned that such a "provocative act" could jeopardize the stalled talks on supplying North Korea with aid and other concessions in exchange for dismantling its nuclear program.

"We have made it very clear that the North Koreans pursue this pathway at a cost and with consequences to the six-party talks, which we would like to see revived," Clinton said Wednesday in Mexico City...

Obama would be smart to have it shot down and say nothing.

Seems like it would make a great test target for the Air Force's airborne laser.....

“Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton warned that such a “provocative act” could jeopardize the stalled talks on supplying North Korea with aid and other concessions in exchange for dismantling its nuclear program”

Do you really think the North Koreans take her seriously? My intuition tells me “no”.

Even if the launch assists their ‘baby milk factory’ it should be made ‘dysfunctional’...allowing them to review thier ‘09 budget for confirmation of ‘priorities’. At the very least it will require Soros to divert more funds to his Anti-American friends...To paraphrase the puppetmaster, “No opportunity to divert funds to Anti-American projects should go to waste!”

If it's capable of striking Alaska you can rest assured that the Obama administration will do absolutely nothing about it.

Various articles I've read recently seem to indicate that Japan is willing to "do the job that Americans don't want to do".....maybe there's "hope" after all.....

We all know Obama can give a rats behind about Alaska and we all know why. Geez first Sarah has to deal with bogus complaints against her, and now a threat from North Korea..not to worry, Sarah will handle this, they have the Alaskan National Guard, they won’t let any rocket hit their state
