Is it time for RNC Chairman Michael Steele to say sayanora? Im starting to think so in light of his latest embarrassing and contradictory statements. [H/t Sam Stein, HuffPo--what can I say, that's where I found the story!]
From Stein column:
Speaking with CNNs Don Lemon [video at link above]: Steele said he would think about running for the White House but only if that is where God wants me to be at that time.
Discussing his tiff with Rush Limbaugh in which he called Rushbo incendiary and ugly, Steele contended that it was all a part of a grand strategic plan. Im very introspective about things. Im a cause-and-effect kind of guy. So if I do something, theres a reason for it
It may look like a mistake, a gaffe. There is a rationale, there is a logic behind it, he said. I want to see what the landscape looks like. I want to see who yells the loudest. I want to know who says theyre with me but really isnt. It helps me understand my position on the chess board. It helps me understand, where, you know, the enemy camp is and where those who are inside the tent are, Steele added. Its all strategic.

I am beginning to think that MD may have been right when it rejected Steele for the Senate though I had fervently hoped that he would have won in 2006. MD hasn’t elected a good senator since when????
All part of a grand strategic plan?
Great strategy, turkey. Get Rush ticked at you and divide the party even more.
Rush was “in” on it.
LOL!..........yeah!
Am I the only one who is sick and tired of BOTH sides of our one party system???

NO MORE RINOS!!!!
Don't forget Maxine. If ever there was an appropriate spokesman for Fruit Loops, she's it!
Steele was a mistake from the start. Past time to cut bait and get someone else.
WOW! Like Old Home Week, eh? Good to see you two:)
I’m here every day- read more- post less!
No, a large majority of folks around here think as you do.
Unfortunately.
{And Steele did not get caught with his pants down.}
A reminder: Steele won an election.
You do believe in elections, don’t you?
I’m one who didn’t like him from the get-go. For him to run the GOP is a joke.
Then I read several excerpts from his GQ interview, and I grew even more angry. And I wanted him to be ousted ASAP.
Then—I read the entire GQ interview—and realized he was 10 times stupider and more malignant than I had thought before.

Steele, we had high hopes for you. You've let us down.
No. When the guy loses elections then he has to go.
So he tests where he stands by insulting a key constituency — like there is a question about what people’s reaction is going to be to you when you insult them?
Yep, I’m posting a lot less, too.
What’s there to say, really?
I’m too depressed to even listen to Fred’s show. :(
i am here daily. am stockpiling non-perishables and looking for evidence of the end times. usually find something every dang day too! LOL!
That does it. Time for him to go!!!
“[H]e called Rushbo incendiary and ugly, Steele contended that it was all a part of a grand strategic plan.”
It should be painfully obvious to everyone now that Steele is not up to the job. The Dims will run circles around him. If he is not smart enough or honorable enough to bow it, he should be booted out. Soon, very soon.
How, exactly, do you propose to do that?
