I do not see any real conflict between the “chromosomal” theory of cancer and the more common view. Chromosome instability is associated with bad cancer prognosis, and it has been known for many years that the are many types of cancer. There is always a cytogenetic and a biochemical individuality in every cancer, as Duesberg says, but many cancers have the same origin so it is correct to lump them together and use the same treatment.
