Interesting, but what a sloooooow site. I clicked on my state and it still hasn’t loaded.
I don’t know WHO made it the offical site, I would like to know.
An earlier site that was posted here is:
I know that the Republican party, RINO’s and others are trying to hijack this movement, even Newt is trying.
I think Malkin has a link on here site. The Orlando groupp held one of the first tea parties in Feb.
How long has it been up? Is it new to the game? Or is it a site designed to get people spread out all over the place on different site?
The problem with both of these sites is that if you’re not on the 15th, they don’t want to have anything to do with you.
Somebody informed me that the organizer of the April 15th Tea Party in Philadelphia made some misstatements about our group, and after considerable thought over whether to respond or not, I sent her this privately and asked her to post it to their Facebook group to correct the record.
Original post from the 15th group’s site:

Hello to all
There is a splinter group that is holding a tea party on April 18 at Independence Mall. THIS IS NOT OUR TEA PARTY. I have contacted this person and so has the national group. He has no interest in joining forces with us. Of course, this is your tea party and your choice.
Just wanted to let you know.

Dear Diana:
I would like to correct the record regarding your post referenced above:
I was one of the attendees at the first Philadelphia Tea Party on February 28, 2009.
100 people attended this event in bitterly cold and windy weather, and this with only four days notice.
The guy who put that one together, Chris Clemency, asked for volunteers to assist in organizing a second event, and I was one of the people who agreed to do so.
We started planning for another event right after that first one. We originally intended to hold the second Tea Party on April 15th, but after discussing it, we determined that a great majority of the people who attended the first rally were either small business owners and/or people who worked for a living. The result of this was that we decided to hold Philadelphia Tea Party II on February 18th instead so that people wouldn’t have to shut down their
businesses for a day or take a day off from work in order to participate in the rally.
At this point, we tried to get our event added to the taxdayteaparty.com website, but they would not do so because we had chosen the 18th as the date for our protest.
No big deal- their website, their rules.
However, to imply that we’re a splinter group, or opposed to y’all in any way shape or form is simply misleading.
I just want to make absolutely clear that we’re all on the same side of this issue, and that we stand beside you in spirit even if we can’t be there on the 15th.
I speak for Chris and everyone else who’s attending the rally on the 18th in wishing all of y’all the best with your rally on Tax Day. Personally speaking, I’d be there but I have to save my days off from work for things like taking kids to the doctor, being sick, and the like.
Y’all are all cordially invited to attend our rally on the 18th if you are free on Saturday afternoon. We’re going to ask if anybody from the 15th rally is at ours and recognize them with a round of applause.
Best regards and hoping for good weather on *both* days, I remain
Sincerely yours,
You are as 'official' as the usurper, and he sure ain't that.
Do yourself and FReepers a favor BT; drop the 'official' blowhard stuff, less you might fog your vision so much you won't be able to tell the difference between a patriot and a parrot.
Looking forward to it. Going to the one in NYC after work.
