Key Democratic leaders were performing major surgery yesterday on President Obama's first budget plan in an effort to bring skyrocketing annual deficits under control, while preserving the option of enacting some of the president's most significant and costly domestic priorities.
In the budget blueprints they are scheduled to formally unveil today, Democrats in the House and Senate said they plan to cut hundreds of billions of dollars from Obama's spending request over the next five years. They also are scrapping Obama's plan to devote more cash to the financial sector bailout. And they are restoring some of the money-saving budget gimmicks the president said he eliminated last month when he unveiled his $3.6 trillion request for the fiscal year that begins in October.

Not much trimming going on in reality. This appears to be all for show. Where are the Republicans presenting their alternative? Zero repeatedly pointed out in his “news conference” last night that the Republicans haven’t come up with their alternative. They need to get moving and get very vocal about what they would change. The public is getting fed up with all the spending. Now is their chance.

hmmmmm....very telling that the Corrupt American Media is now trying to give cover to the democrats on capitol hill. Obama’s internals must be pretty bad.
Our corrupt media sees the writing on the wall...a huge democrat loss in 2010 and they are beginning a long campaign to prevent it imho, by painting the democrats as sudden ‘fiscal conservatives’, going up against the unpopular/unconstitutional spending binge of Obama.

Now is YOUR chance, Republicans. I’m also emailing Michael Steele. Republicans CANNOT try to be “bi-partisan” with this President, it doesn’t work, his agenda or he gets reactive and vengeful. THAT part of his personality can be made public only if Republicans stand shoulder to shoulder and work as one team.
Republicans MUST be Traditional Conservatives, Constitution Defending Legislators. As I’ve said many times, USE The Constitution, Bill of Rights, and The Federalist Papers (there’s even a book out using modern language, paperback around $20)! QUOTE these Founding Fathers documents and get their words in the Congressional Record.
It’s IMPERATIVE or the USofA as we know it, will be destroyed. You all know this in your guts. STAND UP TO 0BAMA and his Liberal Socialist Democrats.
You will infuse the Republican Party with life if you so so. And if you don’t . . . consider the Republican Party near death.
