New poll shows Obama's support at 50-50

It's a Zogby poll so a little skepticism is required. But even Zogby - a Democratic pollster - isn't off by much more than the others. And Rasmussen has been showing a steady decline in the president's job approval as well.

We're a 50-50 nation again - maybe:

Some polls show Obama coasting with a 65 percent job approval, but not in Zogby’s tally.

“The numbers are going down,” Zogby told the Herald. “It’s not because of the gaffes, but a combination of high expectations and that things aren’t moving fast enough with the economy.”

As for the president’s love of the limelight, it could backfire, according to a media watcher.

“I thought he overexposed himself weeks ago,” said Tobe Berkovitz, associate dean of Boston University’s College of Communication.

“I wonder when the public will say ‘Instead of being in front of the camera, be in front of a spreadsheet.’ "

That 65% is the Gallup number while Rasmussen is lowest at 56%. Significantly, it isn't so much that Obama's approval numbers have been falling as much as it is his negatives have been rising.

It wasn’t so much overexposure, it was he exposed himself as someone not in control and unsure of what he is doing.

His handlers have it all seriously wrong. When you have a dimwit on your hands, you don’t front him every hour of every day. Sheesh. The more he speaks, the more chances for mistakes. Any fool knows this. Maybe a press conference per week, and an address the nation couple of times per year. IF YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY. But this hourly blathering under the lights is gonna get him a ticket out of there.

“I wonder when the public will say ‘Instead of being in front of the camera, be in front of a spreadsheet.’ “

Quite frankly, I’d rather have him in front of a camera.....

Being president is like being a garbage collector. The public wants the job done well but we don’t really want to watch them do it.

Seriously, I wouldn’t mind seeing Obama appearing on Leno’s or any other show every night, going to parties, etc.—if he would stop signing every single piece of crap legislation that the Congress sends up to him without reading it or considering if it’s a good idea.

The problem is, he doesn’t have any understanding of how the economy or businesses work, he really believes that government is perfect and can create utopia, and he automatically signs every bill that reaches him. It’s a recipe for disaster, and we’re heading there quickly.

Levin had a poll last Friday that had hussein 45% negative 44 % positive and I believe this over any other poll. Americans are slowly seeing through the veil of evil and his numbers are plummeting... they cannot remain where they have been and have been falling for weeks... but American Idol still has its hold on some Americans.

I did not catch it as I was listening on XM in traffic. I wish that I had. He had a guest host Friday. Perhaps his website has a link. I just heard it in passing and thought that it rang more true than those that have lied to me over and over. Ras is good but he is weighting his approval polling with what I think are flawed means.
