From just September till now, Sarah Palin has accumulated a personal dept of over $500,000 in legal fees defending herself against fake/false/frivolous ethics charges. That’s Five Hundred Thousand Dollars.
A group of Alaska liberals, with the apparent cooperation of members of the Alaska Democratic Party have been filing ethics charge after ethics charge against Sarah Palin. The aim? Not to get her impeached and booted from office, because every single one of the charges are frivolous, baseless and even fairly deranged - one was even filed in the name of a soap opera character - but something far more personal.
These people want to bankrupt the Palins and leave them destitute. They want to empty their bank accounts so that they cannot afford the basics and necessities of life after Governor Palin leaves office.
With the exception of the partisan ethics complaint filed against Palin because her husband (a private citizen) made it clear (as was his right) that he didn’t think a policeman (now a hero to liberals) who used a taser on a ten year old child should continue to keep his gun and badge, all of these ethics charges were filed after John McCain tapped her to be his Vice-President.
David Bonoir, as the House Democratic Whip pioneered this tactic in the mid-1990s after the Gingrich Revolution swept Republicans to their first Majority in forty years. Immediately after Congress resumed, Bonoir began filing ethics complaints - frivolous, partisan complaints that even Democratic members of the ethics committee mostly laughed away - against Newt Gingrich on a weekly basis, week after week like clockwork and sending out press releases to friendly press outlets.

Disgusting — the rule of thugs. Compare these frivolous suits to the Fed DC Court’s Judge Robertson recent (frivolous, but real!) censure of an attorney for filing a a claim against Obama based on his lack of “natural born” status.

But now that you've reminded me, I can't help but think now what I thought then...'what an astounding coincidence!' that the 'prompter broke down in the middle of what was to be the defining moment of the campaign.
Had she possessed BO's skills (or lack thereof), the campaign and her political career would've ended at that moment.
It's manufacturing future sound bites that have the handy benefit of covering their own ethical malfeasance.
Probably Nicole Wallace or some other Obamole on the McCain staff.
This protects the elite ruling class from having to worry about infiltration from the middle class. You try it, they will bankrupt you.
In one of these cases (tasergate), the legislature actually authorized $95,000 for her legal fees. This happened prior to her getting the VP nomination but at the time she refused to use them, thinking the charges were political and it was unfair to charge the taxpayers for them.
Talk about integrity to a tee.

I saw her in person at the Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, rally on October 28, 2008, and your friend is absolutely right. She sets crowds on fire and can command a huge audience. She definitely has the "X-Factor" and a personal charisma level that is off the chart. The cameras do NOT do her justice, and unlike Zero, she can think on her feet and speak without a teleprompter.
Actually, there is an orchestrated attack on Governor Palin on ALL the news forums and blogs, both local and National. Just read the comments on each and every Palin story that is published, especially in Alaska newspapers, and you can see how widespread and organized the attacks have become.
We HAVE to HELP this great lady NOW. Does anyone here have a direct in-road to her so that ideas for fighting back these creeps can be funneled her way, as well as legal $$$$$$$$?
If it happened when she was governor, it should be covered by the state.

Count me in. Maybe these stories are to provide some media pre-work so the “outrage” the left manufactures later won’t be as effective.
