If she was down and out, they may have thought she was dead.
Question, how does one tell a deliberate "hit" using a van as a weapon, from a legitimate accident?
Words like "attack", "slain", and "murder", if there is the likelyhood of mere hit and run. Although technically leaving the scene is a crime and any deaths would be due to "motor Vehicle homicide".
I think was a gang-related crime...whoever murdered him probably never knew this guy was a CIA contractor. The fact that neighbors say he was reclusive doesn’t say much to me. It’s not uncommon to never talk to your neighbors in the DC area...the area is so transient even people who own houses often move around a lot. Crime has spiked everyone in and around DC...even in Middleburg a bunch of the family owned shops in downtown Middleburg were all robbed one after the other. That is really uncommon around this area as well.
They haven’t been able to get info. from the wife, at least as of yesterday the police say they haven’t. That description came from people who live in that neighborhood...they were the ones who called the police.
Is there really no description of these three? We're talking a low light, predawn situation, sure, but the neighbor(s) got a count, and a description of the vehicle.
A year or so ago, there was a Iraq or Afghanistan vet who was killed in Pentagon row...no one was ever able to figure out who killed him. I hope this case won't be like that, at least it appears someone saw something and they came forward with the information.
Sorry, I missed that part.
I hope and pray that she will recover from the attack.
Just so you know, there are going to be some arrests coming for this.
Will the suspects fit the profile put forth, or is it at odds?
Well, I may have been wrong about gangs, I think it may be related to home invasions. It has been a growing problem in VA and MD. I know that in MD.
I know that in MD, there were several violent (resulting in murder) home invasions. I know these folks were not attacked in their home, but that could be the reason there was a white panel van spotted in the neighorhood.
That would explain a nondescript van.
It could, but then again, when the details come out, it could be something totally bizarre and different. The only thing I am pretty certain of is that it had nothing to do with his contractor work at the CIA.
Actually, it looks like those arrested had gang affiliations, but it looks like the motive was robbery.
