I wonder if they will use volunteers or undocumented workers.

If Shriver and Obama have begun growing their own food, the rest of us better get busy. I think they know something we don’t know.

All the bums and panhandlers that infest Sacramento will stand around it and ask for someone to pick veggies for them.

"This new garden will bring awareness to children, students and visitors about the important role of food, where it comes from, ..." What would Maria know about food? EAT, Maria!

First off, she isn’t planting it herself except for photo ops and she’s going to have other tending it until she’s bored with it.
And yes, we should all grow gardens if we want to and hang those idiots telling us we can and they can’t. More diversion and distraction.

Plant it next to that homeless tent city in Sacremento where it will do some good. This is some subtle message of hoping to start a trend without actually telling people to panic.

Gardening must be testing positve before focus groups.

Neither the garden in Sacramento nor the garden in Washington will have any shortage of fertilizer.

Shriver's office is still working out details, but the 800-square-foot "demonstration garden" will be on the east side of the Capitol building and will be planted in May. May is pretty late to start a garden in CA.

I guess this is the new trend. Like none of us have ever planted a garden and they are going to show us how it’s done.
