Americans Largely Silent as Their Nation is Systematically Destroyed

and the people still sit silent as they watch Obamanation grow in unbridled power.

Geithner Asks Congress for even Broader Power to Seize private Firms as the average American stumbles through their daily routine as if nothing is happening.

(snip)

The American people would never trade personal freedom for the false promise of federally redistributed free-stuff under some ill-fated socialist experiment, unless they were first threatened with a soup line existence.

And so it shall be…

(snip)

With their backs against the wall, confused by a daily diet of media manipulated headlines aimed at scaring the public into submission, convinced that our nation’s complex woes demand a solution far too complicated for the average peasant to comprehend, the people find themselves in a state of terminal paralysis.

Silent hell! Most of them are cheering obama on. Waiting for their next freebie a/k/a handout.

“We can’t expect to reverse this without persistence.”

I respectfully disagree with you over this statement. We do not have the time to be doggedly persistent. In 60 days, Obamanation and his ilk have nearly brought this country to its metaphorical knees. If they can do this in 60 days, we don’t have the luxury of time to work from within the current system to undo the damage.

But the way to get things done, banana republic style, is to lay low and shut up so that the death squads don’t come for you.

So, you are basically saying that "if rape is inevitable, relax and enjoy it"?

There's a lot of action that can be taken in between where we're at now and the point where death squads start operating in the US. I'd prefer to end Barry and Nancy's Excellent Socialist Adventure before they get their death squads.

Exactly right...

One of the most important paragraphs in this article...

“If you are not familiar with the Democratic Socialists of America or their legislative branch, the Congressional Progressive Caucus, I strongly suggest that you take time to learn them well. They are in charge of your nation. This is who the average American is up against and they are a very well funded and organized enemy of the state.

You will not be able to take your country back without putting these two organizations out of business. The longer you wait, the tougher the battle, the higher the price.”

>I am angry b/c there is EVIL at the helm!<

What angers me the most is not Obama but the fact that we have an entire Congress and SC who look the other way. They can stop this EVIL by at least demanding that Obama shows his BC. The entire country is sacrificed for the sake of one man.

Democratic republic, constitutional republic — it all ends up the same way: rule by the Mob as controlled by the Demagogue.

And my first war was Libya ‘86, by the way. So what?

Some of us are not being so idle on the media domination front. The left some very interesting table scraps online. A marketing solution to a monetary model. How unique! Nope, just doing what works in history. I like the story of the trojan horse. There is a time and place for everything...

What I’m saying is that the whole works is going to come apart long before we get to the death squad stage, so don’t worry about it.

“America”, the political entity defined by the U.S. Constitution, is doomed, for it’s based on a foundation of sand — the ideas of the so-called enlightenment. America the nation? Well, that’s a different story. A nation is a group of people founded on the rock of God, culture, and language. It remains to be seen if America the nation can survive.

I’m betting that it will. Politics are a loser’s game, and government (whatever form it may take) is, in the end, irrelevant. What is relevant is God and the social structures established by Him: the individual human being, the natural human family, and the nation. The family is the cell of society, and it is the protection and preservation of the family that we should be working for. A nation of intact families held together by the glue of Christianity can survive any sort of tyranny. Proof: Poland.

I’m done with American politics. They are an utterly pointless waste of time. I now spend my time and energy on the strengthening of my family’s faith in God, our family ties, and the ties of love that bind us to our friends and loved ones. I’m working to preserve what matters — America, the nation of families united by Christian culture — not the corrupt political entity that exists in Washington, D.C.

If you’re smart, you’ll do the same.

I don't know. Many seem duly placated by the 'hope' mantras.

Geithner Asks Congress for even Broader Power to Seize private Firms as the average American stumbles through their daily routine as if nothing is happening.

Even while he knew about the AIG bonuses and 'didn't' know and then expressed righteous 'outrage'. And not too many seem to care. They seem hell bent on demonizing every aspect of our financial institutions (after getting fat themselves off of it's benefits), counting on most people not knowing how vital it is. So they can grab control of them.

And what a small percentage of Wall Streeters were actually involved in the activities that brought it down (to be sure, greedy guys at the top, getting the tall coin), while the rest of us just worked to keep finance and commerce fluid. And sheeple are eating up the class warfare. To their folly.

Then you may as well separate the armed insurrection part because that is EXACTLY what you have done. A distinct and rhetorical response to a line in the article. So you can report your comment as abuse or I can.

I was thinking:

Constitutional Corruption

The GIVE act - violates the 1st and 13th amendments
Card check - violates the 10th amendment
Gun grab - violates the 2nd, 4th and 10th amendments
Obama - violates Article 2 Section 1 of the Constitution AND the 8th amendment ;)
AIG Bonus Taxes - violates Article 1 Section 9 of the Constituion

etc....

There are a few law suites filed in the courts; and a few (16) state Governors that are initially refusing the monies from the stimulus, citing it infringes on States Rights. There is almost no press on it. Even here at Free Republic it gets little play.

Lots of dire warnings and dissatisfaction expressed. The tea party stuff sounds good only I feel that it should have been instant and continuous ... not held until April 1, for all the tea bags to hit Washington before April 15.

Insanity and true intent to bankrupt America is my idea as to what is happening. Plus the onset of serious Socialism and Communism is on its wings. MO

"Solve the problem with "us," and "they" don't stand a chance."

It would be enlightening if you shared what is the problem with us. However, I think I know. I know that many Americans have a very negative image of the conservative American. They believe that we have taken this country down by letting the rich steal us blind. This is class envy on steroids. It also totally ignorant of why we are in the economic mess we are in. Maybe Economics 101 was passed over by too many for video game testing courses.

It makes me furious to know that Americans have bought the class envy propaganda to such an extent. After over 100 hours of phone survey work for the Republican Party, I have heard more venom spewed by ignorant Americans than you could imagine. These Americans have a hatred for us like the Germans hated the Jews in Nazi Germany.

If we held a protest, it would have to be really big to give our cause credibility in numbers. Right now, the protests are small and those people doing them are looked upon with scorn. I can imagine people snickering about them and saying that these protesters are crying like little girls because they can't get what they want.

Many see the Republicans as having control of the country long enough to cause the total collapse of the nation's economy. The total blame is on Bush.

They see Obama as working real hard to fix the damage we caused and the Republicans as the obstructionists. So the more we try to stop their program, the more we are hated.

I think Bush did real damage to our cause when he failed to educate the ignorant Americans the truth using the power of the bully pulpit. He failed to argue our case and let the MSM set us up as the bad guy.

Now we need a very strong spokesman to undo the image problem and a huge demonstration to wake America up long enough to hear our message--to learn what is happening. We cannot look like little crying girls. We must look like the adults who have some important things to say. We must tell them the truth in words they can understand. They will never understand that a group of Fabian Socialist have taken this country over. It may be the truth, but there are too many who are skeptical and think messages mixed with political jargon are just an effort to BS them.

The message must be clean and the spokesman must be clean too. A Fred Thompson type of guy is what I have in mind.

I don’t mean anything like what you said.

The problem with “us” is the problem of the compromising away of the core Declaration of Independence principles that our liberty, security and prosperity are premised upon.

And Fred Thompson is one of those who compromised those indispensable principles long ago, unfortunately.

I think Fred Thompson would pass the Real Conservative Purity Test. Whoever is the spokesman, they do need to speak for the core principles of our republic. They will need to be eloquent and say it in a way that Joe Stupid can understand.

Who would you pick?

Isn’t that what the Resolution Trust Corp did back in the 1990’s with the S&L mess. Place criminal charges on those who by stupidity or malfeasance ruined these companies.

Didn't work with Slick and the smartest woman lawyer in America, though, did it? Sumbitch just went out and got hisself elected President and fired the U.S. Attorney who had his number, and the referral from RTC.

"It's good to be the King."
